If you knowingly are carrying? Yes. Just as if you are knowingly carrying HIV and dont tell a partner you can face the same charges.
The problem with this virus is that up to 60% of people carrying it and spreading it are asymptomatic. You want to get the country back on track? Provide daily testing for every single person in the US that wants to leave the house, on the federal dime.

So you are okay with being charged with involuntary manslaughter if you unknowingly carry COVID-19 and cause people to die? I'm pretty sure it would be classified as Murder because of the fact that support that anyone could be a carrier right now, and have been warned of such, even those that are asymptomatic. So it would be classified as knowing there was a chance from the start of the travel.

That stat is just an estimate. We dont really know, do we? The rest of your comment...I agree 100%. I think antibody testing would be preferred.

Thats not at all what I said.
So you are cherry picking what "rights" and "laws" you think you have or don't have huh, and the only ones that you want enforced, or believe that should be enforced are those that you agree with? In other words, you are just Like Trump and don't believe in accountability of your actions?

Really? Then why arent we always ordered to stay home? --- we are told to stay home if we have the flu...
During flu season life doesnt stop, even when youre sick. -- but most people when they are sick they stay home to recuperate!
Maybe we should suspend constitutional rights to prevent flu dealths? That is just stupid!
Why didnt we have ordered stay at home during the H1N1 crisis?
Maybe you need to quit being so obtuse!! In the course of NORMAL daily living there will always be people giving others a cold or getting in car accidents, etc,,,,,
But in this case thgere is nothing normal about the times we live in! There is no logical argument that can be made for freedom to travel in this day when a single person can infect hundreds of people who can possibly die! If you are sick you should be responsible and stay home whether you have the common cold or this virus....
H1N1 was not as deadly as the seasonal flu. We don’t shut down for seasonal flu.

This version of Corona is 10x more deadly than the seasonal flu.

Other than the 1918 Pandemic, there has never been anything like this. In 1918, hospitals were the places you went to die. Medicine was primitive. The connection between filth and infection was not universally understood. Ventilators did not exist. Antibiotics did not exist. People died of an infection caused by a simple assessed tooth.

No doubt this disease hits the sick and elderly the hardest. It's also vastly more likely to kill everyone at every age than any flu we've seen since the 1918 Spanish Flu.

Thats not what I said either. I was asked my opinion and I gave it.

An estimate? How does that make it any better if we are, say, off by 30%? Oh, phew, only 30% of people are asymptomatic, guess it's not a problem.

You know, I agree with just about everything you said. Our only disagreement is the threat of arrest if you violate stay at home orders.

On the other hand, at least we arent like the Philippines where Duterte ordered police and military to shoot on site anyone who disobeys coronavirus lockdown.

If I were Donald Trump, I would not be so assured of those republican governors cooperation. Our republican governor has become quite leery to relax anything since the virus has suddenly taken an uptick in our state. And one section of the state the governor has now issued a stay at home order, or pretty close, and also has closed all schools until next fall. So.... Donald Trump can ""pretend"" all he wants that everything within the 50 states is just PEACHY, but in the real world governors are still very worried as they see the numbers rise and rise. NO GOVERNOR wants that blood on their hands just because Donald Trump says everything is great.
Well... as few republican governors are still deranged Trump zombies willing to eat brains, but most governors including many republican governors refuse to eat brains despite Donald Trump proclaiming how YUMMY BRAINS ARE.

Do you want to enlighten us to the use of the word?

verb
verb: liberate; 3rd person present: liberates; past tense: liberated; past participle: liberated; gerund or present participle: liberating
  1. set (someone) free from a situation, especially imprisonment or slavery, in which their liberty is severely restricted.
    "the serfs had been liberated"
    h
    Similar:
    set free

  • free (a country, city, or people) from enemy occupation.
"twelve months earlier Paris had been liberated"
  • release (someone) from a state or situation that limits freedom of thought or behavior.
"the use of computers can liberate students from the constraints of disabilities"
  • free (someone) from rigid social conventions, especially those concerned with accepted sexual roles.
"ways of working politically that liberate women"

I think I figured it. Liberated is to close to libtard, which triggers them.

Does anyone think trump is actually a competent leader?
On this board? Likely not. In the wild? You know the answer to that.

The phrasing we should use is "Does any actual person think Trump is actually a competent leader?" That would make more sense since those who still support Trump haven't had the honor of being called "people" for a very long time. They are feces, they are refuse, they are vile and diseased anal discharges that aren't considered part of the human species.

I personally think states REQUIRING people to quarantine, and having police enforce it is a crossing the line type of thing. Imagine being arrested for exercising your fundamental right to freedom of travel (United States v. Wheeler, 254 U.S. 281 (1920))? Fucking ridiculous.

edit: as far as Trump goes, its a troll, which, unfortunately, will could be taken seriously by those on the far right.

You personally think that states requiring sexual predators to be monitored and limited of their freedom to travel, by police, is crossing the line type of thing?

Personal freedom takes priority over the common well being of society, yes?

In 1974, Anthony Robert Wheeler, a member of the Navajo tribe, was charged with disorderly conduct through the tribal justice system. On October 18, 1974, Wheeler plead guilty to that charge and to contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Wheeler was sentenced to 15 days in jail or a fine of $30 on the disorderly conduct, and 60 days in jail or a fine of $120 on the second charge.[2]

On November 19, 1975, a federal grand jury indicted Wheeler for statutory rape, based on the same incident, and Wheeler moved to quash the indictment based on double jeopardy. The United States District Court dismissed the indictment.[3] The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed the dismissal, concluding that tribal courts and federal district courts were arms of the same sovereign.[4]
