I don't buy that for a second. Nordstrom's executive management is not stupid. They knew dropping Ivanka's line would generate headlines. They easily could have continued selling the line, and just devoted less rack space or whatever to what wasn't selling well.
I'm deeply skeptical of Nordstrom's story. I believe any competent executive manager would understand the political and PR sensitivity around dropping Ivanka's line. I believe any major clothing retailer could have found a quieter way to handle this if they wanted to.
Think about it... if the sales were making them money they wouldn't drop her. That would be poor business, wouldn't you agree? They'd be held hostage on either side of this thing. Making a political statement wouldn't be worth it.

That all depends on whether they think getting positive PR from lefties for dropping her line is outweighed by whatever profits (if any) are generated by her line. Add a bunch of lefty loons trying to pressure them into dropping her line, and they probably decided they'd be better off just dropping the line. Time will tell if that was a mistake or not.

I agreed, she was hazard during a Jet Blue flight last Xmas....I think boycotting Ivanka products is counter-productive. She's probably a moderating influence on Trump.
