I used to be a leftist. Now, i'm not really sure what i am. I'm fiscally conservative as far as what i consider wasteful spending, yet i'm for things like single payer healthcare and free college lol, and then i'm definitely socially liberal. I think i believe in personal responsibility too much to fall in with the Dems much anymore though. I'm ok with letting people make bad decisions and then suffer the consequences without looking to taxpayers to help them out. Sometimes i feel im on my own island politically

Acting as if he was at a rally, he then read aloud a few made up Hispanic names and described potential crimes they could have committed, like rape or murder. Then, he said, the crowds would roar when the criminals were thrown out of the country — as they did when he highlighted crimes by illegal immigrants at his rallies, according to a person present for the exchange and another briefed on it later. I'm going to guess, but I think the point is that complacency leads to ever larger disasters, especially with this administration.Really not sure what your point is. I don't think any of us said to ignore everything Trump says and to 'overlook' it.

I have a brother who is far left and I am certain that they are similar to the far right. The far right hates certain groups and the very far right wants them dead. The far left is self loathing, the very far left wants all humans dead. I've been told this directly.
My brother and I were talking about space travel at the time and even though he is in a STEM field he hates the idea of us wrecking another planet. After I asked more about it he mentioned that he believed (and this is common among his politic peers according to him) that the best thing that could happen is if all people were wiped out and the earth could be left in peace. I was less jaded then and this notion shocked me.

While I have no doubt that there are a few insane people in the world that believe this as someone who knows a lot of very, very left people in one of the most liberal areas of the entire country that view is not common. In fact I've never met even a single person that holds such a view.
