What happens afterwards doesn't change that they went on record and voted to allow insurers to discriminate against people based on pre-existing conditions and send sick people into underfunded death pools. This probably won't even pass the senate, so for now Obamacare is safe. The only way this passes the senate is if they nuke the filibuster and even then, they'd want to change a lot. But all the republicans already voted for it! So even if it never gets put into law, it all can be used against them when they have to run for re-election! They are so F-d

I can only see the Dems being blamed for it if they filibuster any HC bill. I'm not sure that the Repub Senate can invoke Reconciliation. I understand it can only be used a very limited number of times per year. Roughly speaking I think it's once a year. But there are 'loopholes'.

Democrats need about a 5% swing in the electorate to gain a majority in the house. Doable, but tough. As an example, my hometown just had the city council switch sides in a vote on Tuesday. Democrats are finally getting organized. Will they be able to keep it going though for 1.5 more years?

I think you're in denial. If Trump nukes the filibuster he'll just spin it as being the guy that breaks all the rules to get things done in spite of all the political stiffs. He's no Commander Sheperd but to his supporters I'm sure he could convince them he is.
