If they're determined to be federal officials acting in their official capacity then they're immune from prosecution. The state Court won't entertain that argument but federal court will.

The reason Trump wants this tried in Federal court is the jury pool. Trump wants a whiter jury so he can count on a hung result. Federal would allow a selection outside exclusively Fulton County.
