I’m trying to figure out a way Trump could more flagrantly violate the Constitution than by using US foreign policy to require foreign powers to personally pay him money in order to participate in a diplomatic event.

This is just comical levels of corruption at this point. It’s kind of amazing that conservatives are willing to sacrifice every last shred of their dignity and self respect for this crook.

Having a G7 summit at a Trump property is against the Constitution? How about a judicial or official ruling on it?
Yes, it's a violation of the Emoluments clause, which is settled law. While in office, a President is not allowed to receive any compensation in any form whatsoever, whether directly or indirectly, from any foreign government.

If you claim to have common sense you interpret this...
The Title of Nobility Clause is a provision in Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the United States Constitution,[1] that prohibits the federal government from granting titles of nobility, and restricts members of the government from receiving gifts, emoluments, offices or titles from foreign states and monarchies without the consent of the United States Congress
Emolument is another word for the money you receive for working. ... Emolument traces back to the Latin word emolumentum, meaning "profit, gain," which is believed to have referred to payments made to millers for grinding corn — emolere means "grind out."

Make sure not to argue the point, you're a constitutionalist after all, what with all that 2A talk. It's okay, I am too, and I think the president profiting from this is abominable (and quite illegal).

I laughed my ass off when Mick announced this. Just seeing the tiny, angry, pinched little faces of the White House Press Corps at the announcement is going to be a long treasured memory for me. Heh, hahahahahahaha

Let's leave whether it's legal out? Do you think this it is ethical? So, why would you be laughing? You're a weird one.

Nothing strange about him. He swallows everything Trump spews out.

Call it what you want.

Don't worry everyone. It's easy to forgot amidst the flurry of fake news and propaganda against President Trump that he would remove himself from all his business and have no conflicts of interest while he was President. There's nothing to see here! He's not personally making a penny from this!

No, you misunderstand, it's just that he's such a classy businessman and professional that he can do business like this without it causing a conflict of interest. He says he's not conflicted, what else do you need? You just hate America's greatiness!

Sorry, Vic, you can't use that term anymore.

It wasn't they way I intended it and i'm very, very sorry to have used the term here and will strive to the utmost not to do it again.

I know it’s a different time & different President.

Should Carter have been forced to sell his peanut farm and I think his cows when he became President?

Yeah guys but some foreign countries donated to Clinton’s charity while she held no office so really the democrats are to blame for Trump doing this.

My working theory at this point is that Trump really thought that Clinton, Obama, and others were peddling their official influence for personal financial gain while in office. He believes they did that because it's what he'd do. Now it's his turn.

On a serious note you might wanna check out why you get satisfaction in other peoples despair. While @ the line of thought, who else of notable character can you name in history who has taken pleasure in other peoples discomfort. You might be in good company, who knows?
