Yes, and this will happen regardless of what she does or says or accomplishes. The GOP did this with Obama, they demonized him, accused him, railed against him, fought him at every turn, plotted from the beginning how to deny him a 2nd term. I expect no less from them regarding the HRC administration. Nothing else is possible, nothing. Well, anything's possible, but I don't expect anything else.
The wonder to me is how the GOP hold majorities in the senate and house considering what they have done, what they represent. TBH, I don't understand how they've managed to demonize the term liberal and canonize the word conservative.
Maybe they hold the legislative branch largely by virtue of gerrymandering. If they lose that advantage they may find themselves indeed marginalized for a long long time.
Agreed.
And not only that, the GOP has managed to continually isolate itself with Trump doing an absolutely marvelous job of it.
It seems as though that fear driven pull to the right the GOP thought would (and did) gain them wins has created a self-sustaining, self-defeating cycle that's pulling them ever further to the right and they're not able to get a handle it. It's spiraled out of their control.
Dark days ahead for the party that needs to be more inclusive rather than being exclusive and insulative. That ploy may have been good for them in the short term, but look at what it did to them now.
