Quite hilarious, tbh, even though I empathize with Ms. Trump for her predicament.

I believe her as I don't think people like her and Trump have any real friends...lol!

Pretty transparent ploy: Go after utterly inconsequential details that don't even involve the main story and hope that you can get a retraction. If you do, then declare the whole story unreliable.

Worth noting that conservatism is by definition the idea that old beliefs are always right. It's no great mystery why this is a failing strategy in an increasingly fast changing world.

I don't think that's entirely true. Conservatives aren't completely against progress, they just want things to progress sloooooooooowly.

I believe there is some value in that in some situations, but the course of civil rights doesn't often agree with the pace of hardcore conservatism, which is why you typically see those groups clash until the conservatives invariably cave under the weight of their typically bad arguments against extending standard rights to all groups of humans (again, not all conservatives).

well, yeah, but I think that is the more contemporary version of classic conservatives--those that sympathize with Tea Bagging and even nuttier "Trump conservatives"

The party of obstruction, of "no." Those aren't really conservatives, but they sprung from those loins.

I think a lot of trump conservatives are just more honest versions of conservatives who abide by the PC rules.
