What's missing from this quote is that the Rabid Orange Furby prefaced this statement by saying that Democrats are more "vicious". He is following the usual conservative/Republican mantra of attacking Democrats and accusing them of what they themselves are doing at that very moment. The first thing to acknowledge is this: It's always been there and the Republican party has used it to its advantage and will continue to do so. The "fine" veneer of the GOP has been stripped away - all those storied notions of noble "conservatives" and their evangelic base have been shown for what they are.
