"Those dots don't connect, sorry"

"Those dots do connect but I'd rather you didn't connect them"

Not to mention Trump dog whistles groups of people who are our main culprits of domestic terrorism in the states, and share views with the NZ peeps. *Shrug*

"Those dots do connect but I'd rather you didn't connect them"
So connect them.

One topic is about a growing western/white/Christian rejection of globalization, demographic changes and migrations. These sentiments fueled Brexit, Merkel’s decline and the rise of Trump. It is fueling the rise of nationalist groups in France, Greece, Italy and even the tolerant Nordics. The shooter in New Zealand is a violent product of this backlash.

This thread is about Trump dog whistling a coup as the investigation noose tightens around his neck.

I suppose there is a tenuous link between the two through Trump, but some of you link every thread to Trump.

Those dots don’t connect. Sorry.

Dots connected:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.th...ing-suspect-called-trump-a-sym-1833323711/amp

Shooters manifesto refers to Trump & White supremacy. He did say Trump was a boob of a politician or something similar, he did say he supported what Trump was doing regarding Muslims or something similar.
Hard to not connect those dots.

Above isn’t saying there is some grand conspiracy regarding Trump & White supremacy but when shit like this starts to happen, I think most normal well adjusted people would go out of their way to choose more responsible words. We will see if the President is capable of that.

And what fuels those sentiments? Rhetoric like Trump's. He can judge the effectiveness by how many mass shootings occur.

Why do you keep insisting on deflecting about Trump’s threat of a coup to the rhetoric that fuels Islamophobia? If you want to go on tangents, I have one thing to say to you: “Je suis Charlie”. There is a thread about the New Zealand shooter.

It's the same rhetoric.

I'm just trying to wrap my head around your concession that there is a link then your repeated insistence that this is the wrong thread for such a discussion. Why do you care?

Me personally, I don't see any meaningful difference between a President hinting that he'd appreciate violence from white supremacists such as that biker gang directed against his opponents and the white supremacist shooting Muslims in NZ. Trump has already advocated shutting the Muslims out of the US, called Mexicans rapists, drug-dealers and such, and if a President is happy to encourage/sanction such activity against one law-abiding group, IMO there's no meaningful difference between directing that violence one law-abiding group and another.

Do you think it's only proper that we have multiple threads, one for every group that Trump considers to be his opponent? Do you think his reasons are going to ever so different depending on the group he advocates violence against?

What will the MAGA's do when Trump's term of office is over and Trump refuses to leave? Will they support a dictator who disregards the Constitution and the law?

They will support him because they've committed themselves to him in such a way that leaves them absolutely no other alternative. They went all in for him because he gave them the right "vibes" they were looking for. He served up a perfect knuckle ball pitch that they swung at and missed, yet thought they hit a homer, of which many of them still believe....and then they disconnected themselves from reality, from the outside world, from every single thing that Trump fvcked up or revealed about his incompetence, his crimes against the people simply because they made their choice and that was that. For those that needed proof they made the right choice they, of course, tuned into FOX, Limbaugh and conservative AM radio.

They got the "establishment" (Trump's three ring circus) right where the "establishment" wants them.

If Trump is impeached & removed from office, he'll leave immediately. If he loses in 2020, he'll leave when the new Prez is sworn in. Those who would lead or engage in insurrection to prevent that will be dealt with accordingly & as gently as reasonably possible. It's all right there in the Constitution of the Govt of the People.

Why do you care that I only see a tenuous link between the two topics. If you want to make every thread about Trump, go for it. I may disagree in some cases. So what?

Trump, yes. New Zealand shooting, no.

It's the same rhetoric all around the world with Trump being the biggest disseminator of them all. He knowingly inspires white supremacist violence.

Putin's boys love it, of course, & will do what they can to fan the flames of burning down the West. They'll back anybody who preaches that shit.

Was that the lamest attempt at deflection ever witnessed? Maybe, maybe not. But it was pretty fucking lame all the same. Grow up dude, and for an encore, you might even want to try and answer my question.

I believe your original post and this entire thread of discussion around the tenuous link between the two topics is fucking lame and pathetic. Ask a valid question and I will answer it.

Years before there was Hitler the monster who started a World War and instigated a Holocaust that was horrifying in its' efficiency, there was Hitler the leader whose speeches motivated his followers to violence.

And if you do it well enough one of his proxies might just approach you with a "donation" to keep fighting the good fight...
Worth it!!

What do you think Trump meant by "a certain point"? What do you think he means by "it would be very bad"?
