I'm so torn on this he's done such a shitty job:
Hillary email comments - extremely careless
Bringing up Weiners machine having 100s to 1000 of email which it didn't
Somehow only hitting Hillary for being careless when there is a Russia investigation
Him mentioning Russia after the election
His overall lack of control at the FBI. Agents leaking info on both sides, the inactive twitter account becoming active days before the election and nobody seems to know who it was

However I'm fearful of Trump appointing the guy whose job is to investigate Trump.

I wonder if he'll appoint Ted Nugent?

I'm really hoping this leads to a wave of new leaks. Sensitive details of the investigation that clearly implicate Trump campaign members (assuming that evidence exists, of course) in collusion with Russians. The kind of stuff that will make Trump regret this day for the rest of his life.

As a reminder: Nixon fired the special prosecutor in the Watergate scandal shortly before things started spiraling downward for him, so Trump might not want to pop open the champagne just yet.

Good. I don't see a downside to this. Obama should have fired Comey for meddling in the election. That Trump is going to catch seven kinds of hell for this (for about a week, then the next shiny will come along) is double plus good. Him being fired won't deter the investigation from happening, him testifying, or him being indicted if the evidence points that way. Whether it's a smart or stupid political move I don't care.

I have no idea why you would even think that. Trump will select a loyalist and that will be the end of it. When the Director says "No" that's it. The FBI investigation will almost certainly not be ended because of appearences but it will have it's balls cut off. Trump now owns the loyalty of the investigative agencies. It's over, Trump just won.

FBI leaks will occur like crazy. I agree. There is a obviously a contingent of officers who were investigating this story and they won't like this outcome. It's obvious what Trump is trying to do. History and time always shine light on the truth inevitably.
