Literally every thing in existence can influence the election. Rain might discourage someone from going out to vote- OMG, climate is influencing the election. Netflix releasing a new show might cause some people to sit at home and watch it instead of voting- OMG, influence!
If the election isn't rigged, who cares? If you go by the vaguest terms, I'd agree 100% that Russia influenced the election. For example, if Russia didn't exist than Hillary couldn't have made idiotic statements pushing towards a no-fly zone over Russian airspace, that could have helped her campaign. Merely by existing on the same planet as us, Russia "influences" the election. This is true for every election ever. Who cares?
