This is the sort of remark that makes me wonder if Trump supporters are somehow pre-Cro-Magnon. Neanderthal.

You assume that if you win, you're right. Being right depends on how this plays out in the history of the next few years. We might have accommodated ourselves to Kasich, Christie, any number of them.

I have friends in New Zealand, Australia, Poland, UK. Your Asshole so-called president (little p) has made America a laughing stock. Good Americans will not bow to the Anti-Christ and spawn of Hell.

Your ignorance and stupidity have brought us to this. You have decided that everything is wrong at the federal level, that you're right about everything and everyone else is wrong about everything.

I'm hoping for a civil war, so I can hack to death your wife and family. Fellow American? You're not my fellow human being!
Yowch! Too brutal. Reign it in. Don't make me defend a Trumpeter. No amount of disappointment and anger at this guy's seemingly bottomless pit of worship for The Little Handed is worth those words. Violence plays in to their acceptable means of expression. Be above it. He's certainly not worth hating. You deal him a harsher blow by pitying him (in a very derogatory way of course... <--- I'm no saint after all.)

Looks like another meeting of the He-Man Trump-Haters Club is in session.
Well, he earns it. Have you been paying attention at all? It's non-stop.

Your tag at the end of your statement... are you one of the"confused" men? Do you require the Tang Thang's guidance on clarifying to you the gender you identify with? Psst... You might be betting on the wrong horse. You wouldn't have that problem if you join us. We'd fight to protect your right to have your very own lady bits and become very upset when people with hate in their hearts try to hurt you. We got you lady!

One thing we have learned from the speech... there are plenty of liberal douche bags in congress. At least fucking stand when honoring a slain member of our military and his wife. Even michelle obama would never sink that low.

Sure, even when Birther-in-Chief couldn't give two shits about military people.

Yet they don't even come close to matching the number of douche bag conservatives in Congress.

I wouldn't have stood. His words meant nothing. I would let the widow know my sadness for her loss and gratitude for her husband's sacrifice separately but never in connecting with that Orange Mists meaningless bile. My words and sentiment would mean something. I would not use them as political leverage. The man is ugly through and through (and so's his Cabinet). In the words of Negan "Tit to taint, as it were."

The Khans were out of order, and Trump's response was appropriate.

No one is unclear on your adoration for the man. He's so dreamy to a certain group of indescribables. ... I meeean, i don't even try any more but I do think your true leader(s) should be his current wife and his ex-wives. They might be able to teach you how to smile through it once the honeymoon phase is over.

Look at it this way. The President doesn't actually do very much, he is more of a cheerleader for our government. If he keeps giving great speeches, then like it or not, he will be doing a great job.

^^^Sentiments like the bolded, hopefully just wretched rhetorical excess, are nonetheless neither appropriate nor welcome here.

oh I get it. Since Trump was a douche bag towards the Khans... the douche bags liberals in congress had to show him up. What the fuck.... is everyone in the government in 2nd grade?

Based on the last 8 years, 2nd grade would mean republicans just skipped 1st.

Trump's character and attitude towards others has always been glaringly obvious. He's been a dick punch for 30 years in the media spot light....the spot light which he loves.

It's interesting when people suggest that it's because we're not over the loss of Hillary being the president. I've only been partaking of this forum for a short while but so far I haven't seen any one talking about the missed opportunity of her presidency.

Over and over people discuss the Tang Thang, his incompetence (Not Hillary's fault), his Cabinet choices (Hillary had nothing to do with), his rhetoric (she'd shut him up if she could, as would the"majority"), his policies (she had her faults but she wouldn't have encouraged or incited the hate that appears to be celebrating its new found voice), his tantrums (Hillary would spank his as*), his being an ignorant moron (looking and listening is all the proof most need and again Hillary has nothing to do with his societal ineptitude).

You're right, she didn't win. Who cares. Hillary no longer matters.

The man is a menace. His speech didn't change that. Unless you are a billionaire you won't benefit from his presidency. I think he's made that abundantly clear. Short of telling his Tang Brigade outright, they'll follow him in to the fire he sets but not before y'all see that he dodged the fire and left you no room to do so yourselves.

My head was not turned by his speech. He underwent some sort of politician's learn-to-speak-out-of-both-sides-of-your-mouth-before-you-get-us-all-fired-or-lynched training, possibly learned to read in the last several weeks in order to read a teleprompter and he wanted a night of feeling less hated <--- his ego, ya know? He doesn't care about anything he suggested he might care about in his speech. He proves it every day.

Duh! <--- channelling my inner teenage self, she feisty.

Awwww, how cute, more snowflakes

In Mr. Trump I couldn't have asked for a better guy to criticize and make fun of. All I have to do is describe what he did in an objective factual way.

In the near future, every joke that is created by the actions and musings of Mr. Trump will be proven that those jokes weren't actually jokes but instead were accurate true to life anecdotes of Mr. Trump's experiences.

And sorry to say Moonbeam, we're headed there, but we're just shy of the event horizon of the epiphany the nation needs to reboot in a positive way. Mr. Trump needs to start another disastrous war or get impeached for something related to conspiring with the Russians for bigly profits and more power to corrupt. But we sure are traipsing down that path full of bouncing betty's and boobytraps though.

Just as long as we don't reboot to the way things were. Things need to change and this was never more evident after the last 8 years. The national debt was doubled, China raped the U.S. multiple times, NATO was antagonizing Russia, multiple countries were laid to waste... Syria, Libya, Yemen, etc. We were going backwards in education. Infrastructure money was used elsewhere (California a good example). Trump may be a cheeto.... but I doubt he can do as much damage in 4 years that obama did in his 8 so maybe the liberal crybabies in government should try moving forward.

The GOP cognitive dissonance and hypocrisy is saddening.

If it was Obama caught on tape bragging about grabbing womens p*ssy, calling for a ban on CHRISTIANS entering the US, grouping all mexicans as rapist drug dealers.

You conservatives would have been apoplectic.

Trump owns every negative thing that everyone says about him. Even the tiny hands comments because lets face it, he does have tiny hands.

As for the OP, the bar is set so low for Trump. But my hope is that there is alot of Americans out there that can use critical thinking and judge that the man is simply unfit for this office.

Someone linked a Van Jones video in the thread and I watched what Van Jones had to say about Trump's speech and I for once actually disagree with Van Jones. The reason why Trump has appeal to alot of American's is the same reason why people stay in abusive relationships. These people want Trump to succeed. And he gives these people just enough sense of happiness, clarity, understanding, and support to keep these people in his sphere of influence. It is master manipulation. Trump only cares about one thing, Trump.

Aww, Trump doesn't blow one speech, and it gives him all of 1 day of good publicity before we are talking about his campaign's treason again.

Trump's speech was Reagan's "Morning in America" meets Elie Wiesel's Night.

Here's what it comes down to for me...

While the speech was "good" in a relative sense of the word, actions speak louder than words. Nothing he's done has swayed my thoughts one iota as of yet.
Literally the ONLY thing I have agreed with him on thus far was the minor point in one of his previous EOs (can he get anything passed without an EO by the way?) is that if we're building pipelines, then we should use American steel to do so.

While I agree with the sentiment, this would be a gross government intrusion into private decision making. Pipelines are private construction efforts, paid for with private funding.
