Just as an FYI to everyone the classification status of the documents is irrelevant. Even had Trump properly declassified every one of those documents he would face the same charges.

HIllary did something inappropriate (at the advice of the previous sec. of state who was a REPUBLICAN (Colins); but her intention was not malicious and the items identified later as classified were classified after the fact. Trump did something malicious - it was not that he had classified reports or even that he stored them incorrectly but he actively showed them to people knowing it was illegal AND refused to return them when the feds requested them.

Yes the republicans are refusing to draw this line and do enormous damage to the country and rule of law; and this is problematic long term. But Trump and DeSanctimonious have stated if they are elected they fully intend to take full control of DOJ and weaponize it against political enemies (i.e, a major step towards a full dictatorship).

This is in fact what people like Lindsey want - a republican dictatorship.

As far as DeSanctimonious goes, or any of the others, I doubt they will do one damn thing to actually change the DOJ. Not one thing. It's all bs talk. Oh sure, they might appoint cronies to run the departments like Trump did but if they try doing that then massive resignations would result.
