I mean, this was some ingenious plan. The only other organization as organized as Trump is the mafia.

The conservatives on the supreme Court are primarily political operatives at this point for the most part. I think they would shoot down a trump appeal because they want the party to move on from him. In other words they would be looking out for the Republican party's best interests, Not trying to do the right thing by any stretch of the imagination.
