Not sure this is totally a one-sided move in favor of Trump—as the article notes it doesn’t really change the jury pool that significantly from other areas of Florida. I’d be curious to know whether picking this courthouse either improves or diminishes the security posture for this trial or else helps prevent a media circus from impacting the court’s other work (ie she could be trying to contain the trial to a smaller court with less room for media or an interested public.)

I heard commentary last week that not many courthouses have a SCIF, which is required for this trial.

Trump's legal team sees an opportunity obviously or they wouldn't be tossing everything including the kitchen sink at Judge Cannon to see what sticks.
They are hunting for grounds for an appeal. You can't appeal just because you lost, you need something to point at saying that it was done improperly. So, they toss lots of motions at the judge and then hope they can get something in one of the ruling to appeal on.

I doubt that. "Hey here's a plan floated by JCOS on an alpha strike on Iran" is not good for anyone, especially the US
What they will do is redact the documents and then release the unclassified, redacted versions.

So basically for something like this the jury will see 'US plan to attack XXXXXXX' and then all the specifics of the plan will be redacted too. The contents of the documents is irrelevant to the case, they just need to show that this was national defense information.

They only picked 31 of over 300 documents. Sensitive documents very unlikely to be in these 31. Intelligence community cleared these documents be included in the indictment.

Yup, unfortunately the most sensitive and damning docs aren't even a part of the case.

Loser Donald is suddenly ranting on Twooth Social about why isn’t Biden being charged under the Insurrection Act, which, knowing Donald, means he might have been informed that he’s about to be charged under the Insurrection Act.

Lol! .... Can you spot the Freudian slip? He’s like an Indictment Groundhog.

If Trump is found not guilty for his retention of classified documents will the Democrats respect the courts verdict? With the population in Florida, a jury could be seated that finds him not guilty.

I think it's far more likely that they will end up with a hung jury than a not guilty verdict.

What do you mean by "respect"?

I'm sure many will loudly disagree if that is outcome but outside of that I don't see any real options if he is acquitted. (I think a hung jury is much more likely than one that votes for acquittal. )

His odds of acquittal are basically zero. As others say it’s possible to get a hung jury though at which point he should be tried again.

As far as ‘respect’ the decision what do you even mean?

Projection, he's unwilling to accept a guilty so he's expecting 'the enemy' to not accept a not-guilty.

If he is found "not guilty" then that legal finding is accepted as the final say on that matter.

The occupation and insurrection at the capital on January 6 would be a example of some people not respecting that Biden won the 2020 Presidential Election.
