This whole thing with Trump is a tragic comedy. I did not like Trump at all. But I had no idea he'd be this bad as POTUS.
Makes me a prophet when I lambasted those would-be third party voters on Facebook. I warned them that Trump would end political discourse as we knew it up until that point. While undoing all the good and esteem President Obama had restored for the U.S.
I even listed the demographics sure to suffer under a Trump administration:
Blacks, Latinos, Women, Gays, the chronically ill, Immigrants, the elderly and hard to employ, the poor and anyone who wasn't rich.
And I had been ticked off for eight years while Trump complained endlessly about President Obama.
Obama was patient when many demanded he rant. He was compassionate when events compelled him to be. His was brilliant and successful when most thought him unwilling and unable.
His concern for the country always outweighed the need for conceit or selfish moves. No tossing rolls of paper towels for him.
The 44th President of the United States will always remain a hero to me.
An explanation: When mentioning how Democrats would be stronger and might do better than expected in the midterms, a few folks mentioned the Dobbs factor.
I thought they meant Lou Dobbs, the former guy at CNN and responded as if he was the topic. He's still alive and apparently, has a podcast. I had no idea they meant the Dobbs vs. Jackson Abortion court case. I support a Women's Right to Choose.
So, forgive this aging do-gooder who spent a lot of time writing cover letters, fashioning resumes and taking portraits for free.
