Prison time would be cool but I’d be even more happier if he was required to do 34 days of community service, specifically picking up trash.
That would be the best punishment. Imagine the crowds showing up just to taunt him

As with Onion articles, it's really hard to tell what is parody and what is real in the past few years. Someone gave the keys to reality to Monty Python.

It does come across as parody until you look up the guy who wrote it.

It's possible that he's just been running a many years long satire bit I guess.
The Rhetorical Style section of his Wikipedia page is mindboggling... Like we're discovering for ourselves right now, it appears many people don't know if he is just playing the long game in a wildly successful satire on conservative values or if he actually drinks the Kool-Aid.

I really think there should be some toilet-scrubbing in there for him.

I'll be damned, never looked this far into the guy.
He was elected under a loophole which allowed Adams as a non-resident to run for elections.

In 2005, as Deputy Mayor, Adams put forward a motion to ban pigeons from the Municipality of Ashfield due to fears of the bird flu, but failed to explain how this plan would be implemented.

He was criticized for often missing council meetings because he was traveling the American speaking circuit as a motivational speaker.

In October 2006, Adams was "formally condemned by fellow Councillors after racking up thousands of dollars worth of phone calls and Cabcharges for personal benefit."[12] Mark Drury, a former member of the council, said that if Adams "didn’t have a stunt, he wouldn’t turn up to meetings."

In 2009, the Liberal Party of Australia threatened to suspend Adams from the party for six-months for conduct deemed likely to "embarrass or cause damage to" the Party during an altercation with Brett Mason, a journalist for Channel Ten.
Yes, it does make more sense now, and he is an excellent fit for current conservative American politics.
But... what?
Disciples of Adams are nicknamed "Nads."
I mean...
What?

An article came up on my Twitter

"BREAKING

Manhatten D.A. Alvin Bragg and former Biden DOJ official Matthew Colangelo have been invited to appear before the House Weaponization Committee"

So I know nothing here, but there are endless MAGAs replying about how this is the start of the reversal of Trumps convictions and the 2 will lose their jobs for abuse of power. there was a few mentioning they should get jail time. I'm confused here, these MAGAs are serious but what the fuck is going thru their heads?

And Trump supporters crying about abuse of power has to be trolling lol.

I like the idea but it would punish Trump's SS detail more than Trump if it's roadside beautifying and trash stabbing. Meh, those guys had a really great time side-kicking it with Trump for so long, maybe a little dust-up with drive-by irate never Trumpers might be good for their souls.

Sort of like the parody put on by folks who said birds don't actually exist. It's called Birds Aren't Real

I'm familiar with Birds Aren't Real

Hard to gauge the electorate these days, but I bet a not insignificant number of voters may now vote for him just to "vote for a felon." The ancaps and such.

Given Biden's recent troubles, re: Gaza as well as his general continued slow bleeding of support, RFK etc, it could make a difference in November. Especially given how close the last two general elections were. Perhaps the perfect storm to lose by like 30k votes across 3-4 states.

You could argue this is offset by the number of GOP voters who would abandon Trump over a conviction. This number is probably 0. The "RINOs" left awhile ago already.

So while I don't doubt the charges or the verdict, you have to wonder what sort of downstream effect this will have.

It has some Harry Reid, filibuster vibes right now.

You win a presidential election by getting the swing voters(You know the ones that are probably not registered for either party) vote in key battleground states. How does Trump becoming a convicted felon help that?

Castrado thinks more people will vote for Trump since he is now a convicted felon. Too much Koolaid.

But there isn’t non R voters clamouring to vote for him now because he was convicted by Biden.

Lol. Now this idiot has convinced himself that being convicted of 34 felonies is a good thing for Trump.

If you’re wondering why you always get election predictions wrong it’s because you believe stupid shit like this.

It’s because if he’s not filling his diaper he doesn’t know what to do so even catastrophic developments for Trump are secretly good.

Wasn't he then voted in a few years later?

Have you ever seen a person experiencing a psychotic break or had a bad acid trip? A thing I notice is that an emotion that is deeply repressed via some external shock, a triggering event, creates a similar situation that is reminiscent of the traumatic even and is acting to bring it into conscious awareness. What you see is an intense struggle to re-suppress the memory and keep it from becoming conscious by wild and uncontrollable flights of associative events as rationalization after rationalization is swept away by the fear that the memory can't be put back in the box. It is a Pandora event. It's catastrophizing gone wild.

Everything you fear has already happened. Relax and be happy. You can never be an innocent helpless child again. Buck up. Everything is OK.
