You keep acting like "not Trump" will carry the day like it's 2020 again.
It will, in the end, is my prediction.
I've never once seen you acknowledge Biden's multiple weaknesses or historically low approval ratings for an incumbent.
Since we're talking about historical anomalies, let me tell you the reason I think Biden will win, despite the multiple scenarios arrayed against him: TRUMP.

If ever there was presidential candidate with critical weaknesses, for the majority of Americans, it's Trump, the convicted felon.

By compromise he means democrats capitulating to all republican insanities.
I think Manchin is very much misunderstood (on purpose). That guy was an absolute rock star senator.

He was from West Fucking Virginia and delivered crucial votes on not just judges but vital progressive legislation. When he retires he will be replaced by some crazy Trumpkin.

Manchin was the most valuable senator in the country for most of his career.

Lol which votes did he help? He screwed up Biden far more than the few times he helped

When Biden took office it was a 50-50 senate. Any plausible alternate senator from West Virginia would be a Republican.

So basically every single vote.

An article came up on my Twitter

"BREAKING

Manhatten D.A. Alvin Bragg and former Biden DOJ official Matthew Colangelo have been invited to appear before the House Weaponization Committee"

So I know nothing here, but there are endless MAGAs replying about how this is the start of the reversal of Trumps convictions and the 2 will lose their jobs for abuse of power. there was a few mentioning they should get jail time. I'm confused here, these MAGAs are serious but what the fuck is going thru their heads?

And Trump supporters crying about abuse of power has to be trolling lol.
Play like Trumps people did and literally say “fuck you I am not going to show up” and do it on camera like Trumps people did.

Not sure what you are referring to however in my opinion he hasn’t helped the democrat cause. He’s only withheld his vote reliably.
I see no reason to continue to put money into that race when your best result is the seat holder will vote for moderate judges.

The question you should ask is if Joe Manchin isn’t in that seat who else would be and would they vote differently.

Why settle for moderate judges when the Federalist Society has binders full of options to choose from?

Low fuckin' bar for "hero" these days.

I mean seriously. It's one thing to point out he was the best possible option out of much shittier options, but a hero for progressives?

These corporate limousine liberals are the worst.

Absolutely not how I would frame things, but Manchin is a DINO. If he hadn't "flipped" on his earlier recalcitrance, the only Biden administration legislative win would have been very early in 2021: the American Rescue Plan. Manchin was on track to scuttle everything after that, and it's unclear what he received in exchange for his party loyalty.

This covers Jan 2021-Jan 2023. I won't dive into Manchin's record prior to that, but he's known to be swampy.

IF you value Biden's legislative achievements, then you necessarily have to acknowledge Manchin's importance in those votes. But as it turns out, much of the electorate that votes for Democrats doesn't think much of BIL, IRA, CHIPS act, etc. Or they don't even know about these wins!

Even you know there are different rules for Dems vs GOP vs Trump.

Your statement ignores the reality of our electorate since 2016.

You keep acting like "not Trump" will carry the day like it's 2020 again. In fact your entire demeanor sounds like you're still living in 2020. I've never once seen you acknowledge Biden's multiple weaknesses or historically low approval ratings for an incumbent. Your argument boils down to "2022, a historical outlier in terms of Dem over performance, is how things will continue to play out."
I think you are missing the point that whether Trump wins or loses it will not be because people failed to respond to your irrational ravings. The analogy between Hitler and Germany and the US and Trump is, in my opinion, completely irrational. Your strike me as a person who holds himself in self contempt because you came into the world with an inborn trust you would be cared for and somebody failed to do so. And they failed to. fskimospy's capacity to trust in the system terrifies you. You live in a state of fear that if you let down your guard you will be killed. The sky is always falling on you. He does not suffer that sort of trust issue so he can think rationally. Not to worry though. You won't hear this. Fear is the mind killer and people strongly affected by it are essentially brain dead.

You take that as a profound insult blah blah blah, but in reality it is something that can change with introspection and the growth of conscious awareness. You will have, somehow, to fall off your horse to partake of a healing journey.

Manchin is bad from a progressive perspective. Manchin is also very good as compared to any other plausible senator from West Virginia.
I'd rather he had just been a Republican. Know-nothings see that the Democrats have the majority but still somehow can't get anything done, unbeknownst to them because there's a spoiler on the bench. If he had been a Republican at least it'd be honest with the electorate.

If manchin were a Republican, then Dems would not have the Senate and there would be zero accomplishments in Congress.

I'd rather always lose with (R) Jim Justice than sometimes take modest wins with (D) Joe Manchin.

This is why we can't have nice things.

I'd rather justified losses than unjustified ones. Perspective affects following cycles and losing despite having the majority is a bad look, *gestures at past Republican majorities*

Point taken. Feel better? Manchin as a Senator was a coal loving, personally coal profiting good ol' boy. Progressive hero? You mean, like Joseph Stalin was a key force for the victory of democracies in world in WWII? Ok, then.
