So here's something to consider. This case will go to trial because Trump won't accept a plea bargain that involves him pleading to a felony, while Bragg would never have even brought the case if it was only misdemeanors.
So any attorney worth his license would strongly warn Trump not to testify. Even though the case is based at least in part on two co-conspirators fingering Trump for a conspiracy and Trump's testimony is the only way to directly refute Cohen and Pecker, there is no way they advise him to testify.
But Trump is pissed, and he's a narcissist. Trump thinks he's a "stable genius" with "all the best words." Suppose he defies advice of counsel and testifies anyway? Any bets on how many perjury counts he manages to drum up while testifying?
Seriously, knowing Trump I give this like a 1 in 3 chance of happening.
