We all know it's a load of bullshit.
Even if Eric Trump really didn't know anything, when you are an officer of a corporation, and you sign legal documents which usually has some form of "I swear this is true to the best of my ability", you lose the excuse of being clueless.
And that's not just for corporations, when you file your tax returns, you have to sign and swear to the same thing, that what you are signing is true to the best of your abilities.
I know someone who reported under reported some things on some tax filings. Guess what happened when he got caught? IRS didn't give a shit. Accountant is not in trouble. You signed it. You are responsible for it.
And there is no disclaimer on any type of financial documents I've ever looked at that says "The shit I wrote in here may or may not be true. Buyer beware!" Another load of bullshit from the Trumps.
