For me it’s the cognitive dissonance and arrogance that pcgeek exudes that pisses me offVery simple. People, on average, want bias confirmation. They don't want to be informed. It's far easier, because critical thinking is hard, takes time, and can confuse you if it leads to you challenging your core beliefs and the eventual acceptance that you have been wrong about something, perhaps your entire life, especially when you come to realize there really is no solid foundation for that thing you once believed.
It is why the GOP has lead a vicious assault on the nation's educational system for 4 decades now--they need the dumb and compliant rabble in order to "peacefully" decimate western Democracy as it is known in the US, and install the proper dictators that they all pine for. This is a key pillar of the southern strategy, and it has worked remarkably for the few, but extremely loud rabble that make up the GOP base.
And as purely and indisputable the facts of history that I mentioned above, not one pissant GOP bootlicker that has voted lockstep for exactly what I have said here, time and time again, will ever admit to actually doing it and will forever be internally incapable of accepting how fucking ignorant they are.
You will always see pcgeek and greenman, for example, complain about "those dummies" like MTG and Boebert and Gaetz and Trump, who "don't represent them," but this is their party and they have consistently voted for them. Always and without fail. "It's not OUR FAULT, Tho!"
Fuck this scum.
I cannot understand why people watch Fox…
They lost the world’s largest defamation case of all time for the insane amount of lies they told
But people still watch them..
I can think of 787 million reasons why "we" are right to have utter disdain for fox news.Well I expected as much from you guys....
Attempted? Now what kind of crime is that anyway? Do they give out Nobel prizes for attempted chemistry?Off the top of my head the lenders lost out on interest payments, he has possibly billions in outstanding debt he may not be able to pay, his business partners and tenants are likely taking a serious hit to their portfolios, legitimate competitors to Trump businesses lost out on opportunities, and fraudulent valuations affect tax bills. So, yeah, that's a lot of victims.
And even if no one was actually harmed, it's obvious that criminal activity should carry consequences. Should someone who is swerving all over the road drunk as a skunk be allowed to go free because they didn't cause an accident? Should Sideshow Bob gotten off because he only committed attempted murder?
Honestly @pcgeek11 I expected better from you.
I mean people pointed out two different victims - taxpayers through lost taxes and banks/their shareholders.Well I expected as much from you guys....
I can think of one area of law that conservatives want this: gun ownership. Everyone is a law-abiding, responsible owner, until they go on a shooting spree and are retroactively kicked out of the club.I mean people pointed out two different victims - taxpayers through lost taxes and banks/their shareholders.
Again though, and more importantly, if the idea is that fraudulent activity is only illegal once the people being lied to are actively harmed that means Enron and Bernie Madoff were legal right up until their schemes collapsed. I can't imagine you think that, so doesn't it make sense for the government to prosecute fraud when they identify it even if that's BEFORE harms happen?
Are you saying we're wrong? Please feel free to point out any logical or factual fallacies, be sure to cite your sources.Well I expected as much from you guys....
DA Alvin Bragg is excluded from the gag order as a public figure, but rest of his staff, witnesses, and potential jurors are covered. Bets on how long until Trump tests the boundary edges of this gag order, just like he did the last ones - with thinly-veiled comments e.g. about potential witnesses?BWAHAHAHA gag order placed on the orange monkey in hush money case
what is this, PDS, pcgeek11 Derangement Syndrome?Off the top of my head the lenders lost out on interest payments, he has possibly billions in outstanding debt he may not be able to pay, his business partners and tenants are likely taking a serious hit to their portfolios, legitimate competitors to Trump businesses lost out on opportunities, and fraudulent valuations affect tax bills. Trump's lawyers can't muzzle him, so what are the chances he's held in contempt after repeated violations and tossed into a cell?BWAHAHAHA gag order placed on the orange monkey in hush money case
Zero chance and he’s well aware of that fact.what is this, PDS, pcgeek11 Derangement Syndrome?
Trump's lawyers can't muzzle him, so what are the chances he's held in contempt after repeated violations and tossed into a cell?
I saw something about him using Truth Social IPO money to pay off his various legal issues...is that possible?
It requires board approval for him to sell in the first 6 months and we all know by the 6 month mark that stock is likely to be worthless. It could be if he can get around the rumored limitations on his stake in the venture.

The board of course is made up of his family members and cronies so I fully expect them to do it.
Damn, I still have guilty conscience for making buck off Facebook.Yeah, your last line is the key.
I've already made a wee bit of money on the initial rush. The real question is do I want to get greedy and try to time the short for the inevitable slide just right?

From my understanding the stock is already shorted to hell by basically everyone on earth.Yeah, your last line is the key.

It drove me crazy. I had sold all my FB stock bought at the IPO before the pandemic and saw that it had dropped below a buck at one point. My brain said I could make a butt ton of money, but I just find Zuck to be so disingenuous about how they work hard to keep the bad guys out. Had an IRA tied to an Etrade account with over 50k burning a hole in my pocket, but I resisted and lost out on over 2OOK easily.I can't think of a better (or easier) situation to take advantage of.
Time for a short squeeze? I might look okay in a MAGA hat. From my understanding the stock is already shorted to hell by basically everyone on earth.
Yesterday the borrowing cost to short sell the stock was reported to be at a ~150% annual interest rate ~ basically every share held by an institution that can be shorted, is shorted, with potential major short sellers bidding the cost sky high. From my understanding the stock is already shorted to hell by basically everyone on earth.
