So I live to see Trump in ruination. My life is now complete
And he didn’t even need to be there. He showed up to get pissed off and have a picture taken of him being pissed off.Cognitive dissonance personified:View attachment 86571
Seems like ....it"s HIS legal team that HE hired ..."ineffective counsel" shouldn't be grounds for an appeal.
I DO think this so some kind of "legal strategy," either on his part, or his lawyers
He looks like an angry, sulky child who didn't get his puddin' pops. Is that some hilarious attempt to be intimidating? I'm sure the judge is terrified. Probably all he can do not to crack up.
And yeah he continues to call the judge unhinged (all while looking quite unhinged himself in court). That might not be the smartest move, but then again he probably knows he's screwed and is just going for points for his cult.
Can a Big Mac just finish him off? Pleeeeeeaaaaassssssssseeeeeeeeeeeee
I'd vote for the Big Mac to receive a Nobel Peace Prize if it pulls off this monumental achievement.
This is being really poorly reported. The charges against Trump are filed under a Consumer Protection law that does not allow for a jury trial. Trumps layers could have argued that those charges are not appropriate in this situation and possibly gotten it changed to a more general statute, but they thought they were going to get to slip under the much narrower statute of limitation on the consumer protection laws, while there is basically no statute of limitation for the other. But the DA is arguing that the statute of limitation does not apply here because the crime is still ongoing, and so far the judge is accepting that argument. Now team Trump is trapped in bench trial.Must have practiced that look for days in front of a mirror.
And Oh by the way, can you spell dime store lawyer incompetence? I really can't believe this.

New York Judge Arthur Ergoron on Monday said that he is holding a bench trial in New York Attorney General Letitia James fraud lawsuit against former President Donald Trump because "nobody asked for" a jury trial on either side, The Messenger's Adam Klasfeld reported. "Trump isn't getting a jury trial in his $250m civil fraud suit brought against him by New York AG James because his legal team didn't request one on the paperwork," explained The Guardian's Hugo Lowell.

I really hope Trump tries him on this one because the outcome is going to be hilarious. But what will the judge do to hold the orange monkey responsible?

I bet his rope would be pretty long if he stuck to attacks on the judges themselves, the AG, whoever, but attacks on the safety of their staff are not going to go well.Trump getting sent to Rikers on contempt would be amazing.
Yep. This walking pile of crap knows full well the type of cultists he has hanging on his every word. As we all do from Jan 6. That staff person is now in some amount of danger just from his ludicrous post about them.I bet his rope would be pretty long if he stuck to attacks on the judges themselves, the AG, whoever, but attacks on the safety of their staff are not going to go well.

Trump, after a separate trip to France in 2017, tells Kelly he wants no wounded veterans in a military parade he’s trying to have planned in his honor. Inspired by the Bastille Day parade, except for the section of the parade featuring wounded French veterans in wheelchairs, Trump tells Kelly, “Look, I don’t want any wounded guys in the parade.”
“Those are the heroes,” Kelly said. “In our society, there’s only one group of people who are more heroic than they are – and they are buried over in Arlington.”
“I don’t want them,” Trump said. “It doesn’t look good for me.”
The story squares with another recent story from Goldberg in The Atlantic, a profile of retired Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley, in which Trump does not react well to seeing severely wounded Army Captain Luis Avila singing “God Bless America” at a welcome event for the new chairman. “Why do you bring people like that here? No one wants to see that, the wounded.”
I’d expect fines. $10,000 first. $100,000 second. $1M and so on and so on and so on.Some pundits (and others) are saying that the gag order has no teeth, because no judge is going to move against Trump, but I think this has a better chance of jailing Trump than they think. Trump Made it personal against the judge by attacking his staff, and I think that’s going to weigh heavily on the “treat him like anyone else” side if/when Trump does it again. The judge may well be willing to take the historic and personal risk if he thinks he’s protecting the people he entrusts to aid him.
