Americans want new policy in the Middle East and north Africa, not more of the same.
It's called air superiority and drones. No troops are getting put in harm's way. Plus he can't just order them to bomb bomb bomb without checks. This isn't TV.This is my biggest fear about Trump as I honestly think his domestic policies, if elected, wouldn't be as destructive as some think. He'll move to the middle, give the rich and corporations tax cuts, and life will generally go on with bigger deficits (as norm).
But a narcissistic billionaire with an overinflated sense of self as Commander in Chief? Foreign policy will be a pissing contest with threats big and small, with the need to feel like he's won every confrontation. Iran seized a boat that strayed into their waters? Give ultimatums which force Iran to play tough and then drop bombs.
I want American troops put at risk as few times as possible, with clear and achievable goals, with overwhelming force at their disposal. Not a tool to get into pissing contests.
And don't forget Hillary Clinton lying about the cause.... That parts get swept away with all the illegitimate criticisms.
