Every time I think about Trump and what he's been getting away with up 'til now, it leads me to ponder about what things would be like if Biden had the same crippling luggage that Trump drags around behind him seemingly without any ill effect at all as far as the party faithful are concerned. I chuckled at that thought knowing full well Biden would suffer a far worse fate than Trump has for now.

I marvel at how the GOP rank and file has had to abandon their morals, ethics, standards, principles and their grip on reality in order to stand behind a man who has proven beyond all doubt that he is a lying adulterating racist atheist, a tyrant and everything you mustn't have as the leader of the free world. Whether they want to, need to or have to, due to the fact that they are staunchly defending a notorious liar par excellence of their own creation, they have no other recourse than to rely on lies to not only defend Trump, they all, including all of those hilariously hypocritical religious fundamentalists, compelled to lie not only to the world writ large but insidiously so to themselves to make the fake world they live in into some kind of alternative reality where they can torture themselves into feeling defiantly tucked into. Sucks to be them, but they did after all, do it to themselves.

And there's ~70 million Republicans that would go right along with that coup d'é·tat because hey, for absolutely no other reason "we like his style because he's a guy who tells it like it is".
