I would have hoped they could have figured out ahead of time that the guy in a t-shirt, shorts, and ass-length hair pointing a rifle at the former president wasn't one of theirs PRIOR to him actually firing.This is the likely scenario IMO. It was an extremely fast response, and well inside the envelope of what spotters and sharp shooters are tasked with monitoring.
