I've never understood why any of you are concerned about my candidate selection. Makes no sense to me.
You don't understand why people are interested in your political opinions on a political message board?
If Harris decides to seize power that's certainly her decision to make. I don't think it will work out well for her, but I wouldn't be terribly upset if she took a stab at it.
You have established that you are fine with coups, yes. It sounds like America's system of peacefully transferring power may not be for you.

Because the current resources appropriated are insufficient and this bill would have increased them. Think of it in a municipal sense. Every city/state already has full authority and the mandate to prevent crime. You still have to hire cops though.

Republicans were pretty clear they opposed the bill because they thought a bad situation at the border would help them win elections though. So basically the people you're voting for decided it was a smart move to make things you care about worse. Seems bad to vote for them!
I think another reason republicans oppose actually fixing the border is because it would mean more brown people getting into the country legally. From republicans I've talked to what they really want is a complete shutdown of immigration from Mexico and Central/South America which isn't going to happen.

Why did we need a new bill to control the border? The federal government already has full authority and the mandate to defend the U.S. border. That said, I haven't read the bill that was defeated, so could you explain how it would have stopped illegal immigration?
LMAO you are so concerned with the crisis at the border that you're willing to vote for a man who attempted a coup, but you don't even know what was in the border bill that Democrats tried to pass? haha

Her tenure as border czar
You still think that was real.....
The Biden admin made a PR stunt, no Vice President has any authority or role to play. They break ties in the Senate, and replace the Pres as needed. Nothing else.

And yes, voting Democrat means Democrat policy on the border. Which is... lacking to say the least.
But when you contrast and compare that to MAGA.....

You clearly do not understand what Jan 6th means to us. That was a declaration of war.
And MAGA's ringing endorsement of Russia's Genocidal crusade in Europe?
Words do not fill the gaping chasm. They are but a pretense covering a blood feud.

We don't really care greenman, you just keep on responding with fallacious talking points and we can't help ourselves. It is like popping packing bubbles. We tear big holes in those fallacies that you repeat without examination.
You get to play the poor abused conservative and everybody is happy

It might be nice to see where she stands on the various issues first. Her tenure as border czar has been an unmitigated failure, and while she can indeed speak complete sentences, she does have an issue with them making sense.
She was pretty tough on crime as attorney general, and took some heat from the liberals about it. So at this point I'd say she's a mixed bag.
Btw, thanks for the concern about my candidate selection, I'll be able to figure it out from here.
Good thing Harris was never the "border czar"

He literally just admitted that he doesn't even know the Democrat policy on the border, but he's using that as an excuse to vote for Trump. It's the most Greenman thing ever

Without knowing your underlying issues, it's hard to say if those doctors were wrong. Nothing wrong with medications for treatable conditions.
Very true and while I wouldn't share the opinion that anywhere close to 'most' doctors are pill pushers I've definitely encountered them. My former wife had some issues she wanted to see a therapist for and when she walked in there he was like 'ok what do you want me to write a prescription for?' when she had been explicit that she didn't want head meds.

I said MOST Doctors. Not ALL Doctors.

You don't need to lie.

I didn’t lie, read what I wrote bro.

my post still applies, whether you want it to or not. This is the problem with generalizations, and quite frankly what makes them dangerous in these scenarios.

Mr. Secret reasons voting for a pathological liar is projecting again /shrug

I take one prescription medication for cholesterol, Atorvastatin 20mg once a day. I am in good health (physical by my insurance underwriter) and recently renewed (extended) my life insurance policy until age 92 years old with no increase in premiums.

Yea, I’ve had a couple doctors that were ready to write scripts for my kid right off the bat. We did not return, as these scripts were not what we visited for, and in fact if I had not been my child’s advocate in this space then it’s likely his underlying learning disabilities would have gone undiagnosed much longer, if not forever.

There’s a time and a place for meds, no doubt, but I tend to not generalize by saying “most doctors are pill mills anyways”, even when trying to rationalize why the prez I voted for keeps a disgraced doctor around to pull the “many people are saying” crap on his behalf.

Has there been a trial about her tenure as border czar? If there hasn’t how can we know anything without it being fully adjudicated?

It’s funny the things you feel fully qualified to opine on and the things you don’t.

Just curious, (I already assume the border) what policies did Trump enact that you supported?

As an aside, we are all right to be skeptical of doctors. For no other reason than the pharmaceutical companies are pressuring them bigtime to push their medicines for obvious reasons. How many times have you been in the waiting room and there's a person there in business attire with a briefcase...you don't think much of this, but it's usually some pharma rep accessing the docs to push their product. And of course the doctor's office (or the doctors) will get something out of this. It's insane, and the losers in this capitalistic game are the patients who simply want the docs to help us if something is wrong, and don't give a shit which company makes it.

Not to say that every doc is crookedly just pushing pharma products because they are being paid off....but it shouldn't be a thing at all.

For some reason, Repubs don't hate the idea of "hordes" of blonde haired, blue eyes immigrating from Scandinavia. But for some reasons, northern Europeans generally don't seem to like our work/life "balance" and would rather stay where they are and pay higher income tax rates. 🤔

Considering the amount of drug sales pitches I see on TV, and in my limited experience, I would say the advertising s a much bigger issue. IMXP, medical doctors have been very reserved in what they are willing to prescribe. The only one my doctor has been stern about is a generic statin, so he ain’t making much if anything, and I take it because it does lower my LDL.

Sales is very effective at convincing us we need something, even drugs

Drugs like opioids sell themselves, thus the classic “pill mill” stereotype is effective due to these types of drugs.
