Speaking at Turning point to a bunch of Christians, he said this:

“Get out and vote just this time. You won't have to do it anymore. Four more years it will be fixed. It'll be fine. You won't have to vote anymore...In four years you don't have to vote again. We'll have it fixed so good your not gonna have to vote.”

If Kamala Harris came out and said that, Maga types would lose their fucking minds. When they inevitably will shrug this off because it's coming from their horse, it just shows you how full of shit every one of them is when they talk about "don't tread on me" and "small government". it's team ball pure and simple, and most of them aren't honest enough to admit it.

In fact, knowing that Fox probably won't even report this speech, show it to your Maga buddies and say that Harris said it. Watch the frothing commence. I would, but I don't have any Maga buddies anymore.

Trump and his merry band of fascist enablers throughout the government are bold, and actually being honest these days, now that they've put their dog whistles away. They truly are about to try to undo our government in the next four years.

It's a good idea to pay attention when this dude talks to what he considers his people. Whether he forgets he can be recorded for the rest of us, or just doesn't give a shit if we hear, pay attention and take it seriously. They tried to cheat their way to the last election, all while lying that the other side was doing it (and 50+ court cases tore that bullshit to ribbons). They'll certainly try again, and if they get in they'll just do it "officially" from the inside.

Pictures have emerged from the last day or two raising a question about whether he was hit at all, by anything. Ear shows no sign of injury. If you've ever had an injury that removed skin, you know how long it takes for all of the discoloration to vanish.

I would agree, but the video of the speech shows a streak of blood on his hand after he grabbed his ear and looked at his hand.

They don’t like the military. The military as a whole actually votes blue by a slight margin, AFAIK, and generally defends our allies and fights/prepares to fight aggressive dictatorships. Neither of those things are part of the Republican platform anymore.

The only part of big government that they like is the part that makes it so they can enforce their beliefs upon everyone else and take away personal freedoms and bodily autonomy.

A wacko shot at him, something related to the shot hit Trump. Whether it was a bullet or shrapnel doesn't change the fact he was lucky, and it doesn't make him more or less brave or cowardly. Without evidence to the contrary of the evidence we do have (bullet pic etc), there's no conspiracy either way.

If Trump wants to focus on this and on old guy Biden who isn't freaking running anymore, he can knock himself out while Harris chops him down like a fat old orange tree.

Trump cares because it makes him feel both heroic and persecuted. The part of the public who support him care because it allows them to see him as the Chosen One, protected by God. The closer the bullet the more Divine the intervention, seems to be the logic.

I care insofar as I want to believe they are wrong about that, and that he in fact came no where near being killed (alternatively, if I'm wrong about that, I'd like to know if this timeline really is as frustrating as it appears to be - those guys running the simulation really are taking the piss now). Also yet again it seems that Americans really don't care about gun violence as a general issue.

Seems like the dead guy would have a different opinion if he wasn't dead. Maybe the two that were wounded could speak to the veracity of the bullets flying. I guess it all could have been a setup, but I have trouble believing Trump would approve a plan that entailed an untrained shooter firing in his direction from 140 yards away. I sure as hell wouldn't agree to being near the target.
