The definition of the word is important but in our highly charged world where emotion rules so often, what words mean has taken a back seat to emotion. That's not good. I'll help a bit. Indict does not mean guilty and it does not mean convicted. I know it's become somewhat the norm nowadays for the assumption to be guilty until proven innocent but that's a different discussion.
Based on your response I can only assume that the status quo would have made you happy. Assuming that Russian agents did interfere with the DNC (it's important to remember that over and over we have been told that there is no evidence of vote counts being altered) your desire was not for Trump to either confront or discuss the issue, you would have preferred he pretend nothing happened. Russia could be a huge ally to us especially in light of the reality that ISIS will spring up again in some form and with whatever label suits them. Establishing good relations with them is good for us, good for them, good for the world.
