The powers that be can do whatever the powers that be wish to do. This came out in the press conference. The OP contains many quotes from the press conference but did miss that tidbit.

Everyone is still free to light up the torches and create the hangman's nooses. I'm sure you've got him now. He better think twice about stepping on U.S. soil on his return.
Yeah, I totally believe Putin...why would he lie?

But, Hillary!

Lol.

I know, right? If Trump starts it then it's OK by Boomerang. It's what all their arguments devolve into, anyway, so Trump just cuts to the chase. It's like Pavlov ringing the dinner bell at this point. Trump reminds them how well they've been conditioned to hate Hillary & it scrambles their synapses.

If I'm inferring correctly, you think that the people who are angry at Trump are being too emotional.

I wonder, why is that? And do you see yourself as a stalwart anti-emotional observer as is also implied?

I would posit that you are a dumbnuts and a troll based on how you post. I've seen no evidence that counters that conclusion. I say this completely dispassionately. Now to venture into hypothesis, I imagine you are the sort of person that doesn't handle a loss well and in so many ways will not accept one. I pity you for that.

Hell, he doesn't even handle winning very well. See: trying to relive the 2016 election over and over again.

This is something I strongly advocate for. There is too much power concentrated in too few representatives. Having too few reps leads to things being really consequential when gerrymandering is applied.

Advocate for it and inform people about it. Its not a representative democracy if people aren't being represented.

I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING?
ANYONE ELSE AS SURPRISED AS ME?
I MEAN THAT IS TOTALLY OUT OF CHARACTER FOR THE GOOD MR. TRUMP IS IT NOT?
I AM SURE WE ARE NOT GETTING THE WHOLE STORY HERE.
FAKE NEWS.
WINNING.
MAGA.

I am guessing that, like Trump, he sees that as a kind of loss. He wanted the good times of slamming the president to never end... and then they did abruptly and he's stuck licking the boots of this fucking moron.

Conviction of outright Treason requires two-way participation: On the one hand, he stood up and asked the Russians publicly to hack Hillary, and Russian action came almost immediately. The prosecutorial side would want to prove that Trump "knew" they were listening and already knew of the efforts afoot.

Knowing about it and failing to notify the FBI that the Russian election efforts were real -- is an impeachable felony -- worse than Nixon's crime(s) -- "misprision of Treason." Researchers argued in 2000 that G. H. W. Bush (41) was guilty of "misprision of a Felony" when he was CIA Director in 1976, with foreknowledge of that year's Letelier-Moffit bombing in Washington's Sheridan Circle.

Personally, I think they should restore public execution -- hanging -- for crimes like Trump's. At minimum, they should give him 99 years in the electric chair, following Ethel Rosenberg's fate. And they should encourage viewing for Red State public school civics classes.

I've just grown so impatient and angry with this that I could settle for the video loop of "a final motorcade." It would have more disastrous implications, though. Then, we're stuck with Pence -- a toady and another idiot.

The best chance left for the country is a sweeping overturn in the November elections.

"But the Russians might interfere in the elections!"

I'm only hopeful because of the number of election races, the lack of an electoral college aspect that would guide a multi-state strategy. They would have to hack into as many as 50 state election processes and information systems. Exit polls would quickly provide an indicator that there was "something wrong" and worth looking into at the precinct and state level. And the Russians would need to avoid something so obvious as a defeat for all of California's Democrat-ic Congressmen.

But if they did? And if the evidence of it mounted quickly in the public eye? Then you'll have people doing a lot more than carrying torches.

I think there's going to be violence either way. And what do you bet that a "sweeping Blue wave" would be met by Trumpie Quislings claiming that "the Russians threw the election to the Democrats!!?"

I'm far more afraid of Pence since he is far smarter then Trump and he actuallys want to to turn the US into a Theocracy.

Better spoken, cautious, and poster child of Republican establishment? Sure. Smart? Not in particular. He's only smart in the shadow of Trump's towering arrogance.

Fucking traitor. Russia interfered in and influenced our election, and is continuing to do it, with our intel agencies claiming such. And what does he do? Defends Russia and somehow blames America. The piece of shit needs to be impeached and left to rot in the dark for the rest of his pitiful life.

Yes, and this is the twist. The rabid religious right is willing to justify any means to reach their ends. That's why they so fervently support Trump and excuse a man who is clearly not Christian. Because he is a tool to further their ends of a Christian Nation.

This was never about love for Trump. It's about supporting the puppet who can help them overturn Roe v Wade, stop any further civil rights measures, put women back in their place, preserve the Second Amendment and stop all immigration by undesirable brown people and non-Christians.

And as long as Trump defends those things, they will back him. No matter what he does. To them, the ends justify the means at all cost. Integrity means nothing to them. Only the end result.

Make no mistake, we are seeing a concerted effort by authoritarian, white and Christian nationalists to take over this country.

And Putin is more than willing to help because anything that weakens the western alliance helps him.

The irony is, Christians have made a deal with the devil to obtain their goals.

I didn't say smart, but much smarter then Trump. Which isn't saying much.

From what I've seen of him, he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I agree, however, about his intentions.

You know you fucked up when:

- Patriot Republicans issue "what the fuck is this shit?" statements (McCain etc.)
- Other Republicans who usually support you go into hiding
- Your White House Comms Office has no talking points. Bullshit artists don't know how to spin it.
- Your Director of National Intelligence basically says "we did our jobs but he doesn't listen."
- Mainstream politicians on both sides call it "treason"

And the hits keep on coming...

Speaking of the Second Amendment, I'm willing to bet that the rabid religious right is more then willing to restrict the ability of those they don't consider to be "True Christians" to legally process firearms. Maybe it is time for normal folks who don't own guns to start owning them?

Pretty much the only talking points they have for their shrinking, but rabid and gaslit base.

Here's how they are spinning this:
And now you understand why America is lost. It doesn't matter how bad the GOP gets, Americans are conditioned to immediately assume Dems are as bad or worse. It doesn't matter how bad the GOP cheats (steal SCOTUS seat, abuse filibuster, voter suppression, gerrymandering) it's all acceptable because it hurts liberals (Bork, libs the real obstructionists, millions of illegals and dead people voted, fuck city folk).

So when we will we actually get some leadership with a spine to stand up and do something?
Otherwise that whole "you fucked up list" is pointless. He's never been held accountable for anything he's said or done.

And I give you Exhibit A for why Democrats need new leadership and have failed to reach voters:

Chuck Schumer calmly looking down his nose and slowly reading his cue cards, responding to blatant treason with a sad, milquetoast speech delivered like a dad saying "son I am disappoint."
