It is also funny that the real party of Big Government (the republicans) continues to go after the party that has an actual history of reducing government size (despite the democrats best efforts to do otherwise, mind you )

Trump probably knows at this point he has practically no chance of winning. There are not enough feeble minded voters that he has not marginalized with his insane narratives to get him in.
I expect he'll spout off even more insane crap over the coming months and maximize his exposure as much as possible. After he loses he'll claim conspiracy and the nuts who support him will go along, thinking their country's voting process is under the control of nefarious forces.
