Notice the trumpettes are suddenly trying to divert this thread into a discussion about Muslim immigration instead of what the Donald said about a family who lost a son in service to this county? When in doubt divert. Jackals, Zstream, Bluemax all have started this in the last 12 hours or so. Pathetic indeed.

Huh? I just respond to what's in these posts. I'm not sure why this is even a topic, but if you want to get in a discussion, what exactly are we talking about? The stupid shit Trump says or the stupid shit the DNC did?

ughh.

Are you this dense?

The people attacking Trump are saying he hasn't made sacrifices. But they arent accusing Hilary of the same thing. Why? - Partisan hacks.

Trump claimed that enriching himself is actually sacrifice, comparable to the sacrifice of the Khan family. Clinton made no such claims.

John McCain offered this-

“While our party has bestowed upon him the nomination, it is not accompanied by unfettered license to defame those who are the best among us.”

The more people who figure out that Trump is an ignorant & pretentious fool the better off the country will be.

Because she didn't say she had sacrificed on a level that was roughly equivalent to a family who lost their son in combat. What part of this is difficult for you to understand?

Look, you can hate on trump all day long but that's just a stupid statement. No where did he say it was equivalent. In fact, if you wanted to be an honest journalist, you would ask "have you made sacrifices similar". In fact you can't, because who knows the sons real motives. What if his family was against it and the son was for it?

It's stupid shit that drives me up the wall. Being a partisan hack leads the country to nowhere land.

John McCain gave a very noble rebuttal to Trump this morning. He's in a tough reelection race but I'm sure this is his true thoughts. About the only thing McCain didn't do was to withdraw his endorsement of Trump.

Link to CNN article extensively quoting McCain's statement:

http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/01/politics/john-mccain-statement-khan-family/index.html

It mystifies me why Trump won't ever admit he made a blunder. He reminds me a lot of some of the worst bosses I've had in the past.

wow, so Khan ran towards a suicide bomber forcing him to detonate before reaching and possibly killing "hundreds" of other soldiers? That is the same as jumping on a live grenade, and a near-lock for MoH, no? At least, that was true of WW1 and WW2 MoH's.

Has this guys case been under review for the MoH committee? Would be cool to see this as a fast-track case now, but of course it would only ever bee seen by certain individuals as "pure politics."

Which is baffling why you would still support a Putin stooge like Trump. The only explanation is partisan hackery: party before country.

It is the only reason.

I don't support anyone. I'm a conservative economic and libertarian on social issues. Now, you tell me which party I should vote for.

I love to debate and that's why I'm here.

This is the perfect example of why Trump can't win. He's so easily manipulated into making a fool of himself. He has a personality disorder and no control over it. Leading up to the election he'll continue to stick his ass in his mouth repeatedly, taken whatever bait is thrown his way, alienating more and more sane voters.

A guy that continues to write letters for 2 decades to a reporter that once said he has "tiny hands" is not the kind of "man" that anyone should expect capable of dealing with delicate international matters.

Trump is the most naked version of a wanna-be emperor that not even a fairy tale could imagine.

The people attacking Trump are saying he hasn't made sacrifices. But they arent accusing Hilary of the same thing. Why? - Partisan hacks.

Trump said it and said it in a way that implies he has made great sacrifices. Here is the text.
In an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, Trump said, “Who wrote that? Did Hillary’s script writers write it? I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard….I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. I’ve had tremendous success. I think I’ve done a lot.”

Trump claimed that he helped get the Vietnam War Memorial built and that he has raised millions of dollars for vets.

These aren't sacrifices, they are accomplishments. Hillary has made no claim of making sacrifices.

What's it about? Read the title.

Having Khan speak at the convention wasn't stupid at all. It affirmed the honest patriotism & sacrifice of an American family & the support of Democrats for all such families regardless of race, color, creed or religion.

Trump's attack on the Khans is like the Westboro Baptists' protests at military funerals. It dishonors the families of our fallen and the sacrifices that were made in order to score points for their cause. It's shameful.

So go ahead- Vote Trump! Vote ignoramus! Vote Vulgarian! Vote flaming asshole!

Keep on coming.

Not voting clearly makes the least sense when you have not only a reasonable 3rd option, but are clearly so disillusioned with all of it that you feel un-compelled to vote. You feel this because the choices are shit. The choices are shit because our system has filtered all options over the last several decades into various degrees of status quo candidates. In that case, the only useful alternative for you would be to vote for a 3rd party and show support that plenty of Americans are tired of the status quo...

...but that is oversimplifying the state of things this year. These two candidates could not be further opposed from one another. I do think that Trump is the first candidate to offer something truly different and very far from the status quo--but that is because he is a tyrant. Well, on his best days. On his average days he is an incompetent, unread pussbag.

Hillary may present herself as cold and heartless, but she is easily the most competent, most experienced candidate for this position that we have seen in several cycles.

If you can't bring yourself to vote against a demagogue, then at least vote for the potential of greater future choice.

I don't get that from the context, but if you do, that's fine. However, why would the question even come up? Why do you think a family would go out on national television and proclaim that position? Trump had nothing to do with his son dying and if his antiwar policies are as good as he states, he wouldn't have died.

I mean come on. You can't honestly be sitting there thinking that, can you? I can't for the life of me understand why people like to play politics. Either hate them all or stfu.

Didn't he say temporary ban until we figure out stuff out? I'd hate for us to become like Europe. I think it should be every country that has extreme terrorism, for all religions.

He has said a whole bunch of stuff from a total ban on Muslims (with no stated end date or what we'd use to measure success) to We'll ask them if they are Muslim, wow that sounds so easy how could anyone else not thought of it, to ban people from countries that has been infiltrated by terrorists, does this include France & Germany? For how long? What is the measure of success?

I agree I want to keep bad people out too but first I want a realistic plan that sounds like it could actually work, I still want to help those in need and honestly we are a shit load better at integrating people than Europe is.

See, you make some good points, but I don't believe she's competent at all. Anyone that has a private email server in this day in age as a Secretary of State is just as much a dumbass as trump is a egomaniac.

He is saying that some to all Muslims can't be trusted and should be kept out of the country for some period of time which hasn't been defined. This family's point is their Son served the country well and they are Muslim.

Totally agree. A polygraph test would be a great start. It has a very high percentage of being accurate.
