To be honest, as a buy and hold guy for retirement, I'm starting to feel like the sucker. I know people who have blown all of their retirement on stupid shit but 2008-2010 and now this, I'm starting to wonder why bother. It's sad that the moron in the WH and his need to cater to his base as well as stroke his own ego are the cause of this.

If I count it, my family has 3 retirement, plus a 529, plus a couple other savings accounts with funds in them. IDK if I call it retirement money, but I don't spend it.

I don't want to look at the YTDs tho. No crying on Christmas.

Otoh, feeling more open to impeachment than I have ever before.

Wife and I have 3 a piece (our respective 403s, 457s, and Roths) then cash savings! Between saving for retirement, student loans, taxes, and a mortgage, it does give an interesting perception of struggle.

(I know, I was making a joke...I basically have 3-5 retirement accounts, depending on how you count....the point being that our complaints about our retirement accounts temporarily dropping a few percentage points is kinda funny against the backdrop of the rest of humanity essentially having no money saved at all.)
