Not much else to say about this really.

Paula White, a prosperity gospel minister who has often served as a spiritual adviser for President Donald Trump, has regularly drawn criticism from conservative Evangelicals for preaching what they consider to be “heretical” teachings that warp the divine message of the Gospel.

Now White is raising eyebrows with a new scheme that involves asking her followers to send her up to a full month’s salary — or else face “consequences.”

.......

“Each January, I put God first and honor Him with the first of our substance by sowing a first fruits offering of one month’s pay,” White writes. “That is a big sacrifice, but it is a seed for the harvest I am believing for in the coming year. And God always provides! Every year many others join us and sow a month’s pay, a week’s pay, others give a day’s pay, but everyone gives their best- The results are miraculous!”

.......

“When you don’t honor it, whether through ignorance or direct disobedience there are consequences,” she writes.

White, who opened the National Day of Prayer Event at the White House last year, has drawn criticism from many Christians over the years, including her business in which she sells believers “resurrection seeds” that will grant them eternal life for the low price of just $1,144.

Sounds like the model Trump will follow when his flock follows him into his Hubbard-esque cult after his "calling" to government work is ended.

Pretty good scam. The only people dumb enough to fall for it are probably terrible people hiding behind fake Christianity (also a significant portion of Dump's base). Why not separate them from a nice chunk of their salary if they'll willingly cough it up?

“Paula White is a trinity denying heretic,” Erickson wrote. “She rejects the Council of Nicaea’s creed that every Christian accepts. To reject the orthodoxy of the Nicene Creed is to reject Christianity itself.”

You know, the majority of people that perform seances or basically supposed supernatural communication know that they are con artists. Still, there are people that believe they have a genuine gift and have simply learned the techniques of hot and cold reading through practice and intuition. Even though no one has actually communicated with the dead in either case, people often feel as though their money has been well spent. When a person genuinely believes in their gift, I wouldn't find it unethical to provide their services. Perhaps it would be productive for society to limit their ability to practice, but on the other have should not the supply of their services depend upon the demand? How many ministers believe in their faith, do you wager? Even if you are a religious person, you must realize that all religions cannot be right, so there are some out there providing fantasy in exchange for profit.

Is Donny sending her a months pay if not did she ask?

For the record I find nothing wrong with places of worship asking for donations or tithing, they have expenses and outreach to do however it is weird when someone promises salvation or terrible consequences to someone who does not give or gives too little.

I’m totally fine with this. Separating fools from money is a social good.

Methinks Trump needs a visit with Tyler Henry so they can both scam each other and see who ends up owing who for services rendered.

Personal responsibility.

So someone with schizophrenia or dementia is expected to avoid swindling wholly via personal responsibility? I understand your argument and agree with the value of individual responsibility. But I do not feel I must choose between individual responsibility and moral treatment of our peers. Can we not value both?

You don't have to to give the money if you don't want to.

Trump managed to separate fools from their vote and that hasen't worked out so well

It's working fine for him. It'll be even better if he can work in creative bankruptcy.

Being Prez is the ultimate grant of immunity. No matter what, he'll never be in jail where he belongs. We just don't throw ex-presidents in jail. Meanwhile, he's having a grand time waving his dick at the world.

What is it that you do for income? I suspect if you have no actual moral quandary with this behavior, then it would be far easier to make money engaging in it. I know I could be rich if I followed the mold of Daniel Amen. Thankfully most people choose an honest living.

I don't have a moral quandary with letting people spend their money on supporting their favorite religion. If it makes it easy for someone to make money off that, good for them. These people want to give away their money to feel peace of mind for their soul in whatever or whatever, and someone wants to take it, it's a mutually acceptable transaction between consenting adults. Who are you to say it's dishonest? It's religion, of course it's a fairytale, that's what the sheep are paying money for. Is Santa at a kids party dishonest too for not telling the kids there is no Santa and he's just an old geezer with a belly and fake beard?
As far as mentally disabled and senile, there are legal procedures for relatives to take over financial decisions from them, which I have no problem with. But until such time, they are free to spend their money on whatever charlatans they want.
