After saying there are around 22 veteran suicides a day, Trump explained to the room of veterans what PTSD was.
“When people come back from war and combat and they see maybe what the people in this room have seen many times over, and you’re strong and you can handle it, but a lot of people can’t handle it,” Trump said.

The problem with that theory is his numbers are steady. Her's are steady/going down. They're both losing undecideds to 3rd parties (or no vote at all). People aren't switching camps.
This one is tough... When you listen to the whole clip you see what he was trying to say, but it came out very wrong. It'd be like be like me trying to talk about a pro-life solution for single mothers, but in line with talking about the challenges of being a single mom I said "It's very difficult being a Mom, and a lot of women can't deal with it." That sounds like a very dismissive general statement, right? So, he tried, but didn't quite stick the landing.
I worked in Afghanistan for 6 months as a civilian contractor, which means I was pretty safe for the most part. Even I came back with a little PTSD that took the better part of a year to deal with, and that really opened my eyes to what troops really have to struggle with. It's very hard to talk about these things when you have zero frame of reference, let alone a massive ego.
