Um, the fact he's said so many outrageous things is a reason to NOT give him a pass. One should give a pass to someone whose past words and actions related to a particular issue clearly show that his/her true attitude are at odds with a single statement that may well have been carelessly uttered.I'm willing to give Trump a pass on this one. He says so many intentionally and clearly erroneous things that it seems silly to have to parse his words. I mean a guy who repeatedly dissed a gold star family and brags about being a billionaire leech by not paying taxes, who sucks up to a Russian dictator, wants to scrap NATO, etc, etc.-well you really don't have to look far to find really dumb ass things he has cleared said.

I've taken young women under my wing, doing my best to encourage them and to be who they want to be, not just what others think they should be. Other women have become good friends just because they feel safe and know that I'm not trying to get in their pants. My daughter's best friend when they were in middle school spent a lot of time with us because her parents were having problems - eventually divorced. She still thinks of us as our adopted daughter. One of my (many) beefs about Islam is how women are subjugated in many of their countries. I love spirited, strong, intelligent, creative women.

Ah, time to break out the Great Liberal Media Conspiracy when logic and reason fail.It would be nice if the media and clinton didn't intentionally represent trump's statements, since, you know, that's dishonest and irritating, not to mention unnecessary (when almost everything else he has ever said ever can be legitimately highlighted/criticized), making her less appealing to people struggling to accept having to vote for her.

She isn't winning by 40 points because of partisanship. I'm sure there are candidates that will out perform or underperform the basic partisan numbers now and then but I doubt we will ever see a 10+ point victory again in our lifetimes. I read an analysis recently that showed Obama himself would only be performing slightly better than Clinton is.
