I've never been hit in Texas, but I've had several people try running be off the road or getting in front of me and slamming their brakes then refusing to let you pass. Yes, all in over sized trucks. I also know multiple people that have had guns pulled on them in the highway.
Just this summer I was passing a guy pulling a uhaul trailer on a two lane road. He was driving 15 under, when I went to go around him he floored it so I couldn't get around him, I tried to slow back down and he did too. I finally I had to speed up to 95 to get around him. Then a few minutes later he passed me on a turn and tried to push me off the road with his trailer. The speed limit on that two lane road was 75 mph, he'd would've rather I die in a head-on accident than pass him.
Obviously not saying it's right, I'm saying there are a lot of redneck assholes on Texas roads.

When we called the cops, with plate number the response was basically "and?"
