WTF? Really, WTF? He was calling for term limits on CONgress and now wants the US to have a president for life (I'm sure he wants to be the guy).

This guy can't go away fast enough. Can't believe that I long for the days of Bush again....and that's really saying something.

I think the two term limit works out just fine myself. I see no reason to change it.

There’s no parsing a maybe while he is saying it’s a great thing to be happening with one of the worlds emerging superpowers. It’s counter to everything the country stands for. I stand by the idea that, if he could have been, Obama was the best option in 2016.
I also stand by the idea that parties would be better if they had to consider primary challengers to their sitting President.

But that has little to do with Trump's blathering. Bonus round. Read his exact words and imagine if he meant them literally.
President for life? Give it a shot? Only the best words, not that anyone dare inform him of the innuendo he gave.

How? He is going to continue to replace people in power positions with people who is loyal to Trump instead of loyal to the job.. given enough time the scales will tip and you have a climate/environment that makes such a thing possible. The best reason to have a two term limit right there. Power corrupts.

Trump talking ill-thought-out nonsense doesn't seem that unusual or that big a deal. He can't actually put the idea into action, so who cares?
It's fortunate that cloning technology is still in its infancy, though. Otherwise someone as narcissitic as Trump would undoubtedly have an army of mini-mes lined up to succeed him by now. Term limit legistation may one day have to deal with that.
