Turtle's approval in KY is like 30% so I wouldn't consider that an unassailable position to be in from a primary perspective. Also, Trump is largely doing what he wants so he'd never rock the boat. Dude said he'd accuse Obama of trying to tilt the 2016 election if he exposed the ongoing Russian interference. He's more comfortable than most with the deal the party has made.

I think KY is a way outside chance pickup for the Dems. AZ, CO, and ME are the best bets with TX, GA, NC, IA in the next tier and a few flyers like KS where Kobach may be the GOP candidate. I'm mostly donating to that mid tier and will start in on the state house races later which are extremely important with redistricting coming up.

Actually it looks like they keep announcing the raids to feed the base. So far there isn't much evidence they've actually done anything. Delay, delay and so far I haven't seen much reporting from any of the major cities said to be targeted of any raids occurring. Certainly not en masse.

An interesting side question would be what are the economic consequences of making millions of people terrified to even leave their homes, go to jobs, spend money, pay taxes, etc. I'm thinking that they're probably bad.

The raids are an effective form of terrorism, no doubt. As to chipping away at the undocumented population, they're a farce. There are about 11M undocumented people in this country, so we'd have to deport 11,000/week for 1000 weeks to rid ourselves of this icky brown infestation. Congress won't fund that effort, not even the GOP.

But, truth isn't truth in Trumplandia. They're just in it for the feelz of seeing others getting fucked harder than they are.
