In his everyday life he probably doesn't deal with anyone with an IQ 90 or above, hell I'd be willing to bet about 1/3 of them are probably barely above a turnip. This must be one of the dumbest fucking ideas I've seen and he's not short of them. Mexico has already promised to retaliate and they could easily halt their passage of his trade deal. Consumers are going to start feeling this immediately. Creating economic problems in Mexico isn't likely to REDUCE Mexican immigration, quite the opposite in fact.

Also the Chinese are going to squeeze his nuts big time now that he's opening another major trade war front.

I think this Mexico tariff will be a crack that keeps on growing unlike the whole Mueller thing.

If this tariff goes to 25%, you have to wonder what the GOP senate does.. do they do what they have been doing.. i.e. nothing or they try to listen to their donors who care about money, profits, stock markets and try to kick Trump to the curb?

The Mexicans certainly could be cooking up a way to give him a cosmetic win as other nations do from time to time. Though he feels more cornered on his flagship issue these days so I don't know if that's going to be enough this time.

Some of the Senate GOP is starting to get antsy though. If Trump puts tariffs on we'll see if they are actually interested in political self preservation.
