If it works with his base is all Trump cares about.

Considering how blatantly flawed and easily debunked Trump's grabs for credibility and legitimacy are and how he gives the "Fake Media" a veritable turkey shoot at his silly "hero building" antics, I'd say Trump's base and the majority of his party (ref. his popularity ratings within the GOP) are the suckers that are born every minute that Trump has been duping all his life. The logical alternative being that most of his supporters really don't mind his being so incompetent, so criminally suspect and being such an chronic racist sociopath.

His unnatural debilitating behavior has become something endearing and highly approved of by his party faithful. If that doesn't concern the average voter, I don't know what will.

It's like this-

  • In an ever-changing, incomprehensible world the masses had reached the point where they would, at the same time, believe everything and nothing, think that everything was possible and that nothing was true. ... Mass propaganda discovered that its audience was ready at all times to believe the worst, no matter how absurd, and did not particularly object to being deceived because it held every statement to be a lie anyhow. The totalitarian mass leaders based their propaganda on the correct psychological assumption that, under such conditions, one could make people believe the most fantastic statements one day, and trust that if the next day they were given irrefutable proof of their falsehood, they would take refuge in cynicism; instead of deserting the leaders who had lied to them, they would protest that they had known all along that the statement was a lie and would admire the leaders for their superior tactical cleverness.”

another quote that applies...

"There exists in society a very special class of persons that I have always referred to as the Believers. These are folks who have chosen to accept a certain religion, philosophy, theory, idea or notion and cling to that belief regardless of any evidence that might, for anyone else, bring it into doubt. They are the ones who encourage and support the fanatics and the frauds of any given age. No amount of evidence, no matter how strong, will bring them any enlightenment."

I don't have a formal post-high school education, I refused to allow my mother to pay for 3 of us to go to college at the same time. I wanted to be a CPA because I am a whiz with numbers, my younger sister who has an IQ just a tad lower than mine just finished her Master's Degree and is now a CPA (I am extremely proud of her, I just wish I could actually tell her that). I'm also on the spectrum so that makes interacting with people difficult as well as having PTSD and being a sociopath so being around people isn't the best thing for me. In other words, I am dangerous which makes me having a grip on the warring parts of myself a good thing.

Tell your sister you are proud of her. It will make a difference for both of you.

The issue is how sincere I sound when saying things like that. It comes across sounding condescending and sarcastic when spoken, it's how I sound most of the time when I speak to people.

You might want to check with Sen. Ted Cruz, who has called the Mexico tariffs "taxes", as did Sen Cornyn. And guess who they didn't want to pay those taxes? The businesses and customers of Texas. Did you know that Indiana imports $4.5 billion in goods from Mexico every year and their citizens would be paying 5% more for those goods if Donny Dollhands had pulled this off. Republicans were shitting their pants over this and they let the Orange Anus know that if he did this that they would join the Democrats and smack him down in the House and Senate. Err Furor backed off and called it a victory. One other detail: If that bearded asshole, Cruz, thinks the tariffs from Mexico are bad then why are the Chinese ones good?

Because he's a fucking Republican and that means he's only looking out for his ass and the Mexico tariffs hit his ass dead center.

Connect a vacuum gauge to your head and I bet it would read at least 30 inches of mercury. Getting a chick to blow in your ear would be the like getting a brain transplant.
it's not worth arguing with felix the kumquat, it's never from a factually supported point of view.

Because they were too busy trying to fuck over American citizens, stealing our healthcare and using the middle class to fund tax cuts for the rich. Oh...and Mooselamb bans.

yeah, now is the 2 year season in this presidency where they blame all of the observable evils that the GOP enacted on the people from 2016-2018 on "illegal others."

This is why Trump loves the poorly educated. I think the GOP are actually kind of dumbfounded that this guy does nothing but directly say the things that they have only whispered about, and it only makes their supporters more ravenous.

Donald J. Trump has exhibited true leadership in helping to stop the raging mass of illegal immigrants crossing the border.

Regular politicians would have made empty promises and carried nothing out.

FOUR MORE YEARS!

Show your work, please: What did Trump actually do to stop illegal immigration?

Evidence required.

yea this pretty much sums it up.

Only for morons who already view the issue through a purely partisan lens.

The GOP had total control of the government for two years and did jack shit on immigration. Even internally they couldn't agree on a solution and when they voted on stuff Trump's plans got the LEAST amount of votes.

Even the description of what's happening is wrong. Claiming asylum is not illegal no matter how much some people would like it to be.

Trump getting it done again.

If there was one thing Trump was wrong about, it'd be that I'm not, in fact, getting tired of winning.

This simple bitch laps up the dog food that Trump puts out for him every time. Too dumb to realize that this was already done months ago and the tariff stunt was entirely useless. You are Donald Trump’s little puppy .. Think I’ll rename you Rover.

Rover, is your time worth so little that your pissant 70 tax cut dollars a week pays for all your trolling time here?

But Trump manufactured a crisis, got nothing for it other than hurting the US's reputation and then pathetically tried to claim victory by making up magical secret concessions and lying about Mexico agricultural purchases!

Man, what a win. Remember when we had a president that actually did stuff instead of just lying about it on Twitter?

"Manufactured crisis" LOL

Even many on the left are admitting we have an emergency, a CRISIS at the border. We are being invaded. 133k in May. This was a bipartisan disaster in the making, but Trump is fixing it now. No more pushing it back to the next guy, time to fix this NOW.

Democrats offered a fix under Obama but Republicans torpedoed it. Then under Trump you had two years to fix it but Trump failed completely, just like he fails at everything else.

Now he's reduced to empty threats against Mexico and lying about concessions on Twitter in a pathetic attempt to look like a winner. He had his chance, he failed utterly, and now no one trusts him to fix it. Hopefully his replacement will be able to clean up some of the mess he's left because jesus, it's bad.

When Obama was handed a crap economy it didn't get fixed over night. Trump was handed a crisis situation at the border, it is getting fixed properly, but also doesn't happen over night. The left and their sad family separation tantrum and their refusal to give Trump the funding he needs isn't helping. Glad he did the right thing and declared an emergency, as this is a proper emergency.

The irony is how he accuses others of lapping up partisan propaganda and lies, then regurgitating it, while he is still suggesting the crisis at the border isn't in fact a real emergency.. because that's what the Dems told him to think in prior months (before they had to also admit that it is in fact a crisis).

Where in the world are you thinking that this is being fixed?

Nothing is fixing anything at the border. Why do you exhibit so much pride in willfully accepting abject lies as what you call "truth"?

why do you do this?

He had two years with a Republican Congress to pass comprehensive immigration legislation and he did nothing. If it’s an emergency as you claim then Trump faced an emergency for two years and did nothing.

I can’t think of a better example of what a compete failure he is than that.

Let's give him his term, shall we? Let's see where the state of the southern border is at the end of his first four years. You know it and so do I, he's fixing this problem that the Democrats are helping to create.

He’s making the problem worse by cutting off aid to the primary sources of migrants. I’m just judging him on results. He had years to fix this problem in a comprehensive way with legislation and he sat on his ass.

He could have ‘fixed’ the problem and chose not to. He sat around tweeting and playing golf while something you claim was a national emergency was ongoing...for years. Maybe if it was such an emergency he should have cut into his TV time to do something about it.

Rubio got it right.

The threat of tariffs got #Mexico to agree to take unprecedented steps to control illegal migration. Will be very interesting to see how media covers this now. It is going to be very hard for some of them to give @POTUS credit for this.

And of course they aren't giving him credit. Amazing how dishonest the leftest media is. But then again, reading some comments here it is easy to see why they spin the way they do, liberals cannot handle reality.
