So your math is crap, just admit it. 1000 jobs are staying when they were going.Yes, much like a pro sports team that gets a brand new stadium from the city by threatening to move.

And 400 jobs are still going. So your math is crap, just admit it. 1000 jobs are staying when they were going.
He should know the details of what he's so quick to defend. He's not the one criticizing the "deal". He doesn't need to know the details.
Perhaps you should consider informing yourself a little better...Trump is huge on jobs and growing the economy.
Seems like the only thing that would please them would be for Trump to pull an Obama and do absolutely nothing letting the jobs go. The hacks here have completely lost their minds. The problem is that none of those jobs were staying but now 1000 of them are.
Why should the president be picking winners and losers amongst companies?Seems like the only thing that would please them would be for Trump to pull an Obama and do absolutely nothing letting the jobs go. The hacks here have completely lost their minds.

Congratulations. 1000 THAT WERE LEAVING aren't anymore. And 400 jobs are still going.
What a hack. You don't know, Eskimo dude doesn't know, we say you don't know then you criticize us for not knowing. Trump has turned otherwise intelligent people into complete morons. He should know the details of what he's so quick to defend.
You seem to know a lot for a guy who didn't even know that Trump was hugely pro-jobs. I heard that he plans to construct gulags as part of his "infrastructure" initiative as well...oh my! Your FUD is wasted on me...but by all means keep your irrational fears alive...I'm sure that it helps to validate your despair.Whatever..... promises, promises....
I know that he wants to cut regulations on banks which I consider suicidal. People appear to have forgotten that we tried that and it failed catastrophically not more than a decade ago. Bubble economics...
I know he wants to deeply chop taxes on the top 0.1% of which he is a part..... giving them an effective total tax rate significantly lower than the middle class.
I know he wants to privatize SS which would endanger my own retirement while funneling billions of dollars into the pockets of Wall street bankers in the form of transaction fees.
I don't see any of these proposed changes doing anything other than harming my personal financial interests and the nation as a whole.
"Honest broker", please answer Post #208.Well in all fairness it's not really possible to inform yourself better about this topic as basically all Trump did was make a bunch of vague, often contradictory statements about growing the economy and then declare that they would all be really great and the best. The few policies he did articulate were often incoherent (monetary/debt policy) or would actually cause massive job losses (trade wars).
I would agree it's valuable to see what he was saying if for no other reason than to better understand the level of incompetence we're dealing with here, but not for much else.
Congratulations. 1000 THAT WERE LEAVING aren't anymore.

Who says he is? Facts please. Why should the president be picking winners and losers amongst companies?

I'm going to wait and see what is actually proposed before rendering an opinion. Deregulation in itself is not a problem per se and can be quite beneficial to the economy and business community if done effectively. As I said, I'll wait and see before patting Trump on the back or screaming that the sky is falling.Actually I learned about all of this AFTER the election. During the election I wasn't paying attention to what he was saying.
What do you think of the specific policies I referenced in my previous post? I am most interested in what you think of deregulating the banking industry.
"Honest broker", please answer Post #208.
In other words, you're making up shit. "Honest broker", let's be quite clear on this point.I've already answered this before, did you not read the thread? Unless what he proposed was nothing, this is a bad thing. It is extremely unlikely he proposed nothing, therefore it's a bad thing. If you're going to try to argue that reasonable inference from established facts is a bad thing, that's stupid.
I want to reiterate just how little I was surprised about your amazing about face on this sort of presidential action, by the way. I am sure it is only one of many, many to come.
In other words, you're making up shit. "Honest broker", let's be quite clear on this point.
Oh no, not at all. Not sure how you would come to such a ridiculous conclusion. If you think reasonable inference and logical deduction is 'making up shit' that would explain a TON about what you post though, haha.
As an aside, I'm sad to see that you've been unable to get over your personal problems with me during your absence! Rest assured that even if you don't love me, I love you.
Reasonable inference and logical deduction would suggest that Trump gave assurances of a friendlier business climate during his administration and that Pence gave them financial incentives to stay. To suggest that Trump gave anything beyond this is 'making up shit'. Surely an "honest broker" like you would agree rather than argue otherwise without some basis in fact. No?Oh no, not at all. Unbelievable. So exactly what is the problem with Trump helping to secure these jobs if he did so without giving anything beyond assurances of a better business climate in the future? You previously indicated that other businesses would line up looking to get the same deal from Trump...and I'm sure he'd be more than happy to assure them as well. Beyond that, they'll need to talk to their governors. Apparently, this is where the disconnect lies. You apparently think that he's giving Carrier some kind of preferential treatment when there is zero evidence to support this. Now I know you didn't read the thread. It doesn't matter if the incentives only came from the state, by participating in the negotiation Trump will (correctly) be viewed as being part of the negotiation to secure them. You basically just repeated what I already said and then somehow thought it was a point against me. That's why you gotta read all the posts, brotha.
Glad we cleared this up, haha.
You keep saying that you don't care what I think about you personally. That's OK with me. However, if this is indeed true, you really don't need to constantly repeat yourself regarding this subject as it lends one to believe otherwise.I'm glad that you agree that I approach these topics honestly, I hope that someday you're able to get past your wounded pride and do the same. It's not personal for me, it's just something I'm interested in and enjoy discussing. I do enjoy tweaking people too though and unfortunately in your case I think that's made you caught up in things personally. There's no need to be though! I certainly don't care what you think about me and you'll never be able to make me angry. Any energy you spend on trying to get one over on me is wasted.
