Everyone can see your dishonest rhetorical attempt at conflating dissimilar things. For your sake you don't want to follow buckshot's lead.
So I'm now dishonestly conflating "PR stunts"? Wow...this is rich. Dude, you're a complete moron if you can't understand the context of my comments. Just saying.

And saving 1000 jobs is just a "PR stunt" as well. There's a reason I used quotes.

I'm sure Carrier did it out of the goodness of their hearts.

Yes, everyone can see you're dishonestly conflating a tech investment program with a backdoor corp welfare for political photo op. Including buckshot even if he'll pretend to be too stupid to.

All this aside, I know what I would be doing right now if I were a big company: threaten to move my jobs to Mexico. When you do that the president and the state comes by and gives you stuff.

Brilliant move, Trump!

Tell us exactly what was offered to have this company stay or shut your hole.

If you think this company was not offered anything in addition to what is generally available you're a moron.

By the way, nice job being a hypocrite again. You constantly whine about how other people can't tell you what to do or how their opinions aren't binding on you and then you come out and tell someone else to 'shut their hole'. I find your constant hypocrisy hilarious.

Liberal elites, if you buy a Carrier AC, you are helping Trump's propaganda, just so you know.

You must have as nonstandard definition of "constantly" as you do with"explicitly". You still don't know what happened here, saying if I don't agree with you then I'm a moron is pretty pathetic.

And you've misunderstood, either on purpose or by accident, what I was complaining about, but you don't care about truth or representing your opponents fairly, you're a complete hack.

Perhaps blue states could lead by example. The LA Times has recently been featuring stories on how 20% of city tax revenues are going towards pension obligations for public employees. 20%!!! The product of decades of collusion between Democrats and unions. We are talking about people retiring in their 50s with 6-figure near full salary entitlement benefits.

We've become a welfare society.

The bulk of those pension payouts go to the Republican-controlled police and fire unions, but why let facts get in your way?

No, I think you're a moron because you're denying the plainly obvious.

Oh good, another case where you've been unfairly represented. This seems to happen to you a lot, poor guy! I would love to help you with this problem but mysteriously most of the time you complain about being misrepresented you then refuse to say how.

Speaking of definitions were you able to come up with one for 'throwaway tweet' yet? Still trying to get to the bottom of that one. Maybe we can solve the mystery together.

Democrats have exclusively managed those negotiations in Los Angeles and other blue states since the 70s.

It's a violation when done selectively.

The best part is watching all the Repub politicians who raved against the bailouts (You know, the ones that staved off economic collapse) all whooping & hollering about 1000 jobs.

It's also great to see them moving back towards Wild West levels of financial regulation that led to the need for the bailouts in the first place.

What could go wrong?
Give me an example of government investment that was not selective

so in other words, you find it so distasteful that Trump is keeping American jobs and instead of saying "That's Great!" you want to spin it as a negative of secret back room deals.

christ that's pathetic.

Yes, giving the impression that you can get favorable treatment by the government if you threaten to move jobs to Mexico in exchange for a meaningless number of jobs in a national sense is stupid. It doesn't take a genius to figure out why. There's a reason it's not done often.

It's pathetic how people rush to defend plainly stupid actions.

You do it a lot to your "opponents". You take things in the worse possible way to ridicule them. I did tell you by the way.

Right after you explain how somebody can "explicitly" state something without saying it at all.

But really, we don't know what happened here and you making a huge deal out of it as if you did just shows how much you're melting down. Trying to help you.

The meltdown continues. haha

Yes, I agree with you that the meltdown of the middle class and the poor continues unabated, as it now looks under Trump's "Ransack for the Rich Plan for America".

Nice to know we can at the least agree on some things.

And yes, I have to admit I did lay it down pretty thick there, didn't I? But it was for effect and I felt it needed to be reiterated again to spot another benchmark in Trump's efforts "to drain the swamp". hahaha, Every time I hear that shtick it reminds me that Trump is only draining the swamp so he can fill it with his own special kind of muck that's 10x thicker and 100x deeper and like the muck before it, only meant to mire down the middle class and the poor.

Yes, I'm sure all it took was them to say pretty please. You might be stupid enough to believe that but that doesn't mean the rest of us are.

Bucky, you need help FROM me, not to be trying to give help TO me. Before you're ready to help anyone else you've got to get past your juvenile refusal to admit error and your constant dishonesty. You're just not there yet.

Also you need help at shit talking, haha.

No, they have not. But you keep on believing whatever you want to believe.

The Republican-controlled Portland Police Association just renegotiated its labor contract with the city behind closed doors. Portland's finest can now retire at retirement age with a full pay pension guaranteed for life AND be rehired with full seniority and pay. Democrats in the city were outraged. There were protests. The mayor was voted out. The contract stays.

Agree. In my opinion, these guys are fucking insane to twist this into a negative without knowing any details. Facts be damned...boogiemen are everywhere! It would be comical if it wasn't so fucking pathetic.

Unless the details are 'gave the company nothing' this is a dumb idea and that much should be obvious to anyone. Any CEO with a brain should be cooking up a Mexico outsourcing plan right now to see what sort of goodies they can get from the government.

I agree it's pathetic to see those avowed free marketeers jump ship on that conviction within a month of the right sports team getting elected though. Guess picking winners and losers is okay so long as it's a Republican doing it. I'm sure he'll only pick the BEST winners.

You know nothing except for your fabricated assumptions and then proceed to wildly extrapolate from there. Wake the fuck up, you're embarrassing yourself.

Ok, but can you explain to me exactly what this deal entails? You seem to be holding back on some very important information.
