He's really triggered by the McCabe interview. This kind of unhinged crap has basically lost it's potency and just sounds like the angry rantings of an old asshole demanding to see the manager. None of this has appreciably moved public perception about the investigation(s) in his favor so it's just red meat for the 30% morons who are bought into him culturally/tribally no matter what. Public perception of him and his opinions is essentially fixed within a narrow range at this point.

I never understood people who blindly follow "leaders." America was founded on the idea that monarchy is not a system to live under. When you follow unquestionably, you no longer have independent thought and for all intents and purposes, cease to be a human being.

The cult-like worship of these people in government positions, especially when they serve term limits, is truly sad to witness.

I think it is the guilt and rage generational hand me downs of having lost a war to protect slavery. It's the backwardness of loser mentality and the refusal to accept the guilt for what you defended. It's their day to get even, or so they think.

That is exactly what happened with Smollett's fabricated his story. The mainstream liberals in unison went into complete outage without any thought of fact finding, simply like you said it, it was a cult like response.

Cult like response means you don't believe anything not in favor of your beliefs after facts come out.

Where as after facts came out liberals said, Oh wow!

Unlike you and your trumpers who say fake news, blah blah blah.

If anyone is guilty of a cult like response, it is you conservaterrorist trumpers.

Even if Hillary won the election, the Republican party would still deserve to be shamed for ever nominating Trump in the first place. His behavior continued to be consistently shameful and embarrassing. He should have immediately lost the support of everyone who voted for him. What the hell is wrong with people?

Insane world.

And to go further, he is actively running for reelection.

I believe in the constitution, not an ethnic supremacy based country.
I believe in equality, not supporting neo nazis and calling them fine people.
I believe in the United States of America not being subservient to a foreign power.

Just some liberal speak for you.. and yes that will last for perpetuity since these are self evident patriotic truths.

I'm the one who drinks facts, not kool-aid.

Why do you keep doing this to yourself? Do you think conservatives want an ethnic supremacy based country, supporting neo nazis and being subservient to a foreign power? You continue to repeat the "cult-like response" from the left.

Yeah he's deteriorating fast...

The United States is asking Britain, France, Germany and other European allies to take back over 800 ISIS fighters that we captured in Syria and put them on trial. The Caliphate is ready to fall. The alternative is not a good one in that we will be forced to release them........

This apparent threat - he'll release "over 800 ISIS fighters that we captured" unless European allies bring them to Europe for trial (is that it?) is just bizarre. Is he threatening to release them on the streets of Europe?

Whether mental deterioration or low IQ megalomania, it's still alarming. I'm glad as hell I'm not in his inner circle: They have to know that they've got a certified 'Captain Queeg' at the helm, and their ability to delicately pacify him is straining the limits of their loyalty; enforced or ideological.

Some excerpts from the Post's review of McCabe's book:

Andrew McCabe’s disturbing account of working for Sessions and Trump

"He didn’t read intelligence reports and mixed up classified material with what he had seen in newspaper clips. He seemed confused about the structure and purpose of organizations and became overwhelmed when meetings covered multiple subjects. He blamed immigrants for nearly every societal problem and uttered racist sentiments with shocking callousness.

This isn’t how President Trump is depicted in a new book by former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe. Instead, it’s McCabe’s account of what it was like to work for then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

The FBI was better off when “you all only hired Irishmen,” Sessions said in one diatribe about the bureau’s workforce. “They were drunks but they could be trusted. Not like all those new people with nose rings and tattoos — who knows what they’re doing?”

...

Inevitably, the book includes disturbing new detail about Trump’s subservience to Russian President Vladimir Putin. During an Oval Office briefing in July 2017, Trump refused to believe U.S. intelligence reports that North Korea had test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile — a test that Kim Jong Un had called a Fourth of July “gift” to “the arrogant Americans.”

Trump dismissed the missile launch as a “hoax,” McCabe writes. “He thought that North Korea did not have the capability to launch such missiles. He said he knew this because Vladimir Putin had told him so.

and here we go folks: the easily predictable "Smollet lied! Therefore all liberal cucks that I disagree with are lying about everything that doesn't align with my feels!" justification from the self-labeled derposphere. I mean, you guys aren't even letting the steam settle from the shitpile of this story.

Based on all observable evidence of the last ~4 decades?

Yes, I mean...absolutely. It would be extremely difficult to argue otherwise and justify such a claim when the evidence, especially the self-proclaimed goals of the conservative elite have been making these claims for decades.

There's a curious social dynamic exhibited by the folks who hang out around Trump. They are caricatures of the orange one. Since he has no positive qualities, they exaggerate his negative ones. From their point of view, they are part of the presidency. No thinking person believes folks like Hannity and Limbaugh have anything important to add.

Do you want to know why I think this?

Because they say it. All the time. The GOPs on capital hill, and Monsieur Dumbshit in the white house. They have said literally all of those things. And sometimes it's even more clear through their actions (or inactions).

Are you even paying attention to what's happening? I suppose if you're only watching Fox News you aren't gathering any useful information at all...

Oh don't worry kids, he quoted Rush Limbaugh saying those words, so it's not like the president of a democratic nation is actually saying the civil servants investigating his egregious corruption should be in jail.

Quickly scanning the thread, I do not see a single person explaining why the President said this, or why Rush Limbaugh said this. May I suggest you are all foolish to outright dismiss a big movement among Fox News and the Republican Party. You are not giving this subject the level of attention it deserves, given the amount of time and energy they spend on it.

You know neither their reasoning, or how to attack and dismantle it. Therefore you know nothing on how to persuade others on this subject. Were it to continue as it has, this thread would be nothing more than hollow chest thumping and a complete waste of everyone's time.

Simply put, their argument is that Trump's opponents used Hillary Clinton's paid-for fake Russian sourced dossier to lie before Federal Court in order to spy on their political opponent during the 2016 election, and then after losing the election they used it to start an investigation with the ultimate goal of achieving a coup against a duly elected President and against the results of the 2016 election. To disenfranchise voters and attack American democracy. Deep state, etc. "The biggest abuse of power / corruption in history".

That all this began with Hillary Clinton colluding with Russia to take down Trump.

Do not roll your eyes. Republicans believe this and you are ill prepared to prove otherwise, or to contest them politically.

Whose going to support theses claims the right is making? The FBI? The National Intelligence Agenices?

Hardly. So it’s just the president, his inner circle and the talking heads on various rightwing media.

If they do get someone credible to lie and support this position the House can subpoena the hell out of them and the intelligence agencies to let the truth out.

So I’m not sure how this is any different than all the other fanciful stories righties tell themselves.
