And.. So what?

Want me to go back when the Republicans complained about Obama golfing and quote everybody on this forum who said "So what?" when it came to Obama golfing?

That said, Trump is a hypocrite of course. But this is not news.

did Obama say he won't be golfing nearly as much as Bush because he'll be too busy working hard for the country?

What I find most revealing is how certain people in my family view this activity who often dinged Obama for it. It's hard not to come to a conclusion that it is in large part racially motivated since a black man engaging in leisure is implied to be lazy but a white dude doing it is just an entitlement of his status.

He’s spent an entire third of his presidency within a property bearing his name. One third. One of every 3 days since inauguration he’s been sucking at the government teat to enrich himself and his family. He’s basically spent 1 of every 3 days being the Welfare King of America.

What was Obama's ratio of work vs golf?
Nobody is saying they can't vacation while in office. The question is the VOLUME of vacation (not to mention the braggadocio of Trump saying he would never golf.

It's not just that he is black... it's that he was a Kenyan born, Muslim Democrat black man.

Many of Trump's supporters do not want to be reminded of Trump's daily lies, his many grandiose campaign promises that he never meant to fulfill nor his close association with his friend Putin and how he helped Trump get elected to the point where every single bad thing that Trump has said or done is either whitewashed or ignored when instinctively leaping to his defense leaving them saying things as if all of Trump's malfeasance and criminal behavior never ever happened.

I am in awe at this phenomenon, this quirk of mental gymnastics that so many of his supporters flagellate themselves with.

His numerous golf vacations are just another thing they have to agonizingly deal with and somehow parry, which is as more often than not as worthless as the lies and disingenuous double speak Trump is notoriously known for and of which his supporters have the need to, as Trump put it so well, "fight back" in his defense.

I see something different. Who was with him? Does anyone know what was discussed? 'Golf' has long been synonymous with 'corporate networking'. How hard/easy is it to record conversations out there in the open with the SS behind every tree making sure no one else is within range to do so?

The Orange One could be out there deliberately for reasons other than chasing a little white ball around.

LOL what? and charging the tax payers to the benefit of his own pocket book. He has the White House/Oval Office to conduct business. Hell, even Camp David.
This is about the dumbest "excuse" I have heard yet.

Guys the answer is pretty simple. He’s historically spent lots of time at his golf courses. Even some deplorables know the president likes to be pampered and rest. We all know he is greedy.
The bonus now is he can spend a shitload of time at one of his properties where his Presidential staff needs to pay him for lodging and food to support him (the President).
Not only is the President doing what he likes lounging and being on vacation, he is making money while doing so.

Kinda touchy, huh? Think of the genius of it. Virtually every other golfer in the world pays money to play. Trump makes big money doing it, from revenues at his resorts from the official presidential entourage, the Media & the favor seekers who always show up. The more he does it, the more money he makes. I'm surprised he spends as much time in the White House as he does.

I dont know man, I can see Trump using "golf" to avoid records of conversations.
It seems that it was during "golfing" that Leningrad Lindsey had his soul removed.

If Trump being a hypocrite is not news, why does that mean it isn't important?

Regardless, Trump has golfed at a rate 3x Obama. That is a very significant difference in terms of impact on work.

Things on Government property are 'official' and usually documented, unless they get stuffed on double secret servers. Things on privately owned golf courses? Probably not. Perfect places to direct activities like Giuliani's.

I've also seen it postulated that his staff knows he's such a whack-job, they want him out of the office as much as possible so they can at least try to minimize the damage he does.

I wonder how many campaign rallies he does? Sounds like a significant time investment. If what you are remembering is the same thing I'm thinking of, getting him to do rallies was the way of getting him away from the office.

As much as it is important to realize the problem with Trump's volume of personal time, I'm not sure we want him to change that...

I dont wish to offend but the Whataboutism on this forum and the internet in general is getting pretty disgusting.
We've already long established its a shitty argument based on severe logical fallacies on top of which theres tons of evidence the Donald does very little to actually help America. When he is at work he mostly mouths off, eats, naps, and tweets.

Cost estimate so far to the taxpayers is $118 mil, estimate of money pocketed by Trump is $3mil, no wonder he doesn't want a salary he makes more off his golf stays.

Exactly. Trump golfing in and of itself doesn’t mean much. Trump being a hypocrite by accusing his predecessor of being lazy and then working far less matters more.

As for his work product the results speak for themselves. It’s hard to think of a bigger failure as president and does anyone really think he would achieve significantly different results if he golfed less? I don’t. His problem is incapability far more than laziness.
