Apparently now the IRS is telling people with the error payment status not available to wait until tomorrow as they make updates once a day and it’s at night. Hopefully that means they fixed what ever bug they had.

People who usually pay in to the IRS, rather than receiving a refund, have had no reason to give the IRS their routing info. Hence the IRS is mailing them checks.
All I can say is, I'm glad I retired a little earlier than my actual retirement date. It's given me the ability to completely shelter, except for getting out to get groceries. Having to deal with the dilemma of forced layoffs, all of this, is just incredible. I just hope people can hang in there. Me feelings about going into any type of Long Term Care not being an option, have been magnified by the slaughter that's going on in those places. Testing and contact tracing has to be #1 priority at this point, with a vaccine being the ultimate answer, maybe. What if the vaccines are only as effective as the current flu shots. It does give one the willies. It's like being in a jungle with ambush predators all around you, at least if you are my age.

Has anyone gotten their checks yet? I've tried the portal multiple times over the last few days and I get the same message. "We don't have anything on file" or "please try again." I don't even have the option to enter my routing number. Thus du KS because they have my routing numbe. I've owed money, and I owe money for the 2019 year as well. I guess I'll have to wait for the paper check which will take weeks.
