There is forgiveness when we falter, thank God.

spoken like a true wuss waiting to retreat to his safe space after he hurls out a 3rd grade jab.

So your god allows you to be a dick as long as you recant, right?

what a piece of shit you are--thinking that your religion protects you from being the worst example of humanity. I'm sure there are plenty of wahhabist Saudi's that would welcome you into the fold.

I'm not a wuss.

No. Any other questions?

I think you're over reacting just a tinge. How am I the worst example of humanity? By calling you an idiot? I think you're losing your mind or something.

No, I know I'm an idiot. You're the worst kind of example of humanity because you think your religion allows you to be a dick as much as you want. You just need to ask for forgiveness as you believe that your god still loves you even though you admit to being a shitty person.

Just like the Taliban.

"can stand up to Trump in a debate"

EVERYONE can stand up to Trump "in a debate", are you kidding me?

I can pick a random 10 year old, chances are the kid can "stand up" to Trump very well.

Trump is merely a symptom of the sickness that is the Republican party, which is much worse than anyone diagnosed. the debates won't be a crap shoot, they will be blowouts, it will be like watching an adult and a child.

The problem is the sickness is actually all over America, not just the far right. We'll see after the election. Book mark this page.

plenty of drumpf threads to bookmark, this one pertains to his ability to "tear hillary apart in a debate"

I don't see that happening in any way, except if it turns to name calling and off the cuff quips of no substantial value. He is the best at that, people are saying, the best people are saying that.

That's the problem, the 'best' people see through him, but the average people just lap it up.

nope, he's at a ~65% unfavorable rating.
The thing about Trump is he doesn't give a damn about what he said yesterday, watch him change his tune 180 degrees and appeal to the masses instead of the far right. Meanwhile Hillary is also sitting at 55% unfavorable rating.

Scott adams, the guy behind Dilbert, made a pretty bold but reasonably argued prediction that Trump will win because he conducts politics at an entirely emotional level, whereas his opponents talk more policy and such.

The oversight in that argument is living by that sword carries with it the burden of death by the same, because the same rhetoric against minorities/etc means those on the other side will never vote for you no matter the policy/interest alignment.

It would've been a workable strategy if he played it smart and only targeted muslims or certain foreigners, groups with limited downside and lot of potential up. But completely ensuring no hispanics or gays, etc, would vote for him over self-absorbed remarks takes us to where we are today.

In an hour of darkness a blind man is the best guide. In an age of insanity look to a madman to show the way.

Right. He did that because he really doesn't want to be POTUS. He just wanted to make sure none of the other fuckups became POTUS. As we all know, there is a certain party that has consistently run and voted for fuckups galore especially in recent history.

Does anybody remember Trump's performance during the Republican primary debates? He didn't know the details, didn't do the broad ideas and largely stuck to his jabs or being off-topic. He's a candidate with huge flaws. If Clinton can just meet the low bar of at least appearing to talk competently about the subject at hand she may come out looking more "Presidential," overall. Repeatedly attacking Trump may cause total implosion. On substance, I don't think Trump can do any better as he operates in innuendo and vague generalizations, not in the intricacies.

I don't think he stands a chance at a one on one in real terms - that's not his strength - but what Trump can do is get himself three or so well-timed and on-topic zingers for the media to loop over and he may do well enough to not deflate his campaign. After that, he doesn't have a need for any further debates.

I think if she takes every chance she has to respond to Trump with "Do you want that person to have access to the nuclear button?" "Do you want that person to have access to our military secrets?" "Do you want that person having access to your federal data?"

It's ironic that Clinton would ask that, considering she's the only presidentially candidate who has ever literally made government secrets open to the world via an insecure server.

For that matter, she's the only government official who has ever jeopardized national security in such a manner without 1) losing her job and 2) going to jail.
