"Trump will win in a landfill"
He's going to be buried by the Clinton landside.
In his mind he is a winner, even though he's always been a useless looser.

At the risk of being quote crapped by the diaper wearing P&N audience. What's say you? I'm going out on a limb here and saying this.

But Hillary could win
I will say this... if that's true, we're fucked. Destroyed, Doomed. Beyond hope.
Trump will win in a landslide
I'll see you and raise you a Clinton.

You know, the funny thing is this:

You look at his hairdo and go, what's with the hair? He sees a different guy than you do. Trump sees (in his mind) a 35 year old guy. He's in love with his reflection. Classic narcissism.

I will be very dissapointed in OH if they vote Trump who used China steel and not Ohio Steel.
I've met several great people from Ohio, but they'd all moved to California, and that was over 20 years ago. What I'm seeing in this election cycle has me thinking I don't want to set foot in Ohio. Same for Texas and Florida.

I can see a scenario where Trump does extremely well in the rustbelt states, perhaps even better than pundits and pollsters thought he could do. Basically, he gets Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and Pennsylvania. If he gets a a surprise win in Minnesota and can pull in either NC or Florida, that would be enough to win, even if Republicans lose a bunch of the western states.

I think over the next four years people will wonder if somehow Trump's appeal to blue-collar white voters and embrace of protectionist trade policies can wrest control of "Big Labor" from Democrats and unions, and if that's something the Republican party should build into the platform and focus on.

EDIT: Forgot to note, that neither this scenario nor any scenario with Trump winning could be deemed a "landslide" (275 if he pulls NC/289 if he pulls Florida)--even if he won he'd probably still lose the popular vote slightly.

awesome article. long read, but well worth-it for anyone on either side of the political divide:

How democrats lost their traditional white working-class base. I think so much of this actually eye-opening to a lot of traditional and especially "new" liberals. The turn from championing the working class to trusting the elites of the party (aka: Bill C and the rest) championing a "help yourself to become like me!" sort of class restructuring, think-tank based high policy that elites and well-paid consultants always seem to endorse, but never really makes sense to actual working class people.

No Drudge headline would be complete without:
FLORIDA SHOCK: TRUMP OUTPERFORMS ROMNEY BY 130,000 IN EARLY VOTING!

No link as he is not naming sources yet.

Actually, this seems likely to happen at some point. One of Trump's properties will be involved in a landslide. Trump will deduct the cost of the property as a loss on his taxes. Thus, "Trump will win in a landslide".

The OP didn't say anything about an election, did he?

Edit: Nuts, sdifox did the joke first.

I think there is a new divide rising up that may soon overshadow the Democrat/Republican divide. The general public seems eager to vote for a candidate (any candidate) that is ostracized by the establishment, a candidate that is not a wholly owned subsidiary of the oligarchy.

Political philosopher John Rawls deeply changed his field through his books, A Theory of Justice, Justice as Fairness, and Political Liberalism. In his book, The Law of People, Rawls stated that a constitutional-based democratic state is a pillar of liberalism, and that (p. 139):

“Public deliberation must be made possible, recognized as a basic feature of democracy, and set free from the curse of money. Otherwise, politics is dominated by corporate and other organized interests who through large contributions to campaigns distort if not preclude public discussion and deliberation.”

To prove his point that “money is an enemy of democracy,” Rawls referred to the article , The Curse of American Politics, by Ronald Dworkin. Rawls offered a masterful critique of the economic gap in the United States, and pointed out that lobbies for American corporations have transformed Congress to a center for buying and selling laws, writing (p. 24):

“An example worth mentioning is Public financing of both elections and forums for public political discussion, without which sensible public politics is unlikely to flourish. When politicians are beholden to their constituents for essential campaign funds, and a very unequal distribution of income and wealth obtains in the background culture, with the great wealth being in the control of corporate economic power, is it any wonder that congressional legislation is, in effect, written by lobbyists, and Congress becomes a bargaining chamber in which laws are bought and sold? “

The inverse relation between the economic power and democracy can also be analyzed from another perspective. In his book, Bowling Alone, Putnam demonstrates that since WWII the widening gap between the rich and the poor has been in parallel with a decreasing rate of participation by the people in the political process. Statistics confirm his claim.

Like the calm before the storm, I too have this eerie feeling Trump is headed for a win. And if Trump does win, yes indeed that terrible dark destructive storm will follow immediately after.
Can you see it? Do you feel it already?
It's cold and dark and windy and ripping up trees, homes, and tossing cars about like toys.

In fact.... We won't have to wait until Trump takes the oath, oh no kiddies.
We will all joyfully experience the wrath of Trump on November 9th when stocks take a huge nose dive, and business begin pulling back on hiring and expanding, and just before the holiday season which will not be so good for those temporary holiday job seekers.

Oh no.... We need not have to wait until January for Trump take America down his road to hell on earth, this trip to hell will begin on day 9, i.e. come November 9.
Lets see here...
November 9th is what? In two days.
So yes people, you have only 2 days to cash out your stocks, switch your investments into guaranteed short terms, dust off and update your resume, fill the tank with gas while gas is still $2, and it wouldn't hurt to stock up on groceries.
Focusing mainly on non perishables. Food that will last four (4) years, and food that will last in a bomb shelter. Along with you....

If he should actually win, would it be too much to ask of you, to actually see what he does, rather than spread all this cheer?

kind of ironic considering that Obama was "not a wholly owned subsidiary of the oligarchy"

He's going to be defeated, easily. My hunch is by a decent amount more than the polls are currently showing (maybe 7 pts).

I converted everything into bottlecaps, bullets, and Radaway.

I began disassembling the car back in February and am now 70% of the way to converting that into a pair of power suits for me and Missus. Once those bottlecap futures pay off, I'll be able to purchase enough mini-nukeman power cores to last us for 15 years.

I'm going to outlast all of you basic bitches
