I think the problem with the extreme right is they conflate the products of objective and intelligent minds with liberalism. Most professors in universities are reasonably accomplished. They have at minimum a PhD and actively pursue research. Generally to do that sort of work well you need a degree of objectivity in your perceptions. You can't go into it wanting a result, you're looking for the right result.
