Trump might win. He has about a 1/4 chance. But, the only way he wins is if there is a fairly strong pro-clinton bias in the polls. That could happen. The polls have been wildly off enough in the past for Trump's current ~3 point deficit to be reversed. But, there is no precedent for being behind by the amount he is and then pulling an upset victory.

Trump supporters have been screaming for months the polls are crap and he's going to take it. They might be right, but if I had to put money on it I'd say they aren't.

It looks like he will lose. And for this lesson nothing will have been learned; Clinton, an incredibly corrupt piece of incompetent shit will be put in the oval which will vindicate all she has ever done. And many in the republican party will still argue trump was the man for the job, which means in 2020 they will nominate a pro-wrestler.

Will Clinton unify? Will she, for the good of trying to be a moderate, come out with views like "You know, I do hate guns, but I promise not to act against them"? Nope, she won't. There will be no unification.

Trump's poll numbers are collapsing. He's now twice as far away as he was from clinton just this past weekend on RCP's aggregate.

Oh, I can make one final prediction: As numbers come in people will post all kinds of "See, she's winning" or "see, he's winning" based on wild assumptions made from a few counties in some pissant state that amount to nothing at all.

Agreed. Clinton will win tonight and the GOP nominee in 2020 will be the Iron Sheik.
I could see them nominating the slap chop guy.

I don't mock because I enjoy it. I'm a registered republican (thinking of unregistering in protest, though) and wanted hillary to lose this for the same reason all people should have wanted her to lose. But, the republican party is just full of complete idiots. The democrats are, too, but there are enough people in the democratic party who know how to master the stupendously brainless masses and wield their stupidity at the ballot box that they end up winning elections.

Super delegates are born out of corruption, but they would have kept trump out of the nomination and probably put cruz there. He is a divisive guy but would have made none of the mistakes trump made, from grabbing pussy to getting in twitter wars.

At this point, only Charlie Sheen is WINNING!

yeah, but a few of those states really matter: If she wins PA and wins NC or FL it is over. Plus, winning 2 or all of those confirms that the polls have been right all along. I keep forgetting VA, but like PA, both of these are very important for Trump and nearly impossible for him to win. I'm thinking that early call for PA and VA might be enough to confirm the polling, but we'll see.

Trump winning PA would probably be enough to confirm that there has been serious issues with the polling. NC and FL are close enough to not really mean anything regarding the polling on their own.

WTF? How does a majority of the populace as a whole skew the results against Republicans? If anything it will help them.

Because the majority of the population are liberals and democrats, that's why.

But at the same time, simply going by party registration doesn't say much. Plenty of people never change, after decades, even after "switching" parties long ago via actual votes.

I admit. Been a FoxNews viewer since circa '96. Me and several millions watch their very professional, edited and fair news everyday. It shows as they beat the competition every night. Unlike CNN who gives questions to their candidate among other one-sided accusations. When Trump says it's rigged, it REALLY is! In fact, today I was reading a Time magazine and I had to put it down because I couldn't stand the bias. FoxNews is the only cable news network that gives balance in a largely lopsided media. From print to TV, it's mostly one-sided progressive BS. Except for radio which has more Conservative pundits.

It's a shame that the electoral college decides the next POTUS because I know Trump has won the popular vote.

HOLY FUCKSNACKS... just when I think conner can't out stupid himself...

I'd post all of the retractions fox news has had to do over their 'fair and balanced reporting' but there's no need because
a) you won't digest it
b) you won't believe it
c) every other site, no matter the sources flies in the face of your 'reality'
d) you're just a fucking buffoon
e) all of the above

Well, except for his tendency to lie often, his obstructionist politics, his regressive attitudes toward science, abortion, LGBT rights and net neutrality...

He might have stood a better chance than Trump, but that's not saying much.

You see, it's not just scandals and gaffes that have wrecked Republican chances for the presidency since 2008 -- it's that their policies alienate a large chunk of the modern American population. If you're non-white, why would you vote for a party that spits on you every chance it gets? Even Cruz can't escape that image of a party that works against minority interests. With women it's more complicated (since there's broader support for conservatism), but it's harder to have them vote Republican when the party regularly takes a dismissive attitude toward equality and reproductive rights. Let's not forget the periodic, baffling attempts by GOP men to downplay rape (see the notorious "legitimate rape" quote). The party certainly doesn't win favors among Muslims, Sikhs and others who are often the targets of GOP-fuelled hatred and ignorance. And if you're LGBT? Forget about it -- many Republican politicians see you as subhuman.

Effectively, Republican presidential candidates start this race with a weight tied to their leg. They need to win over a broad swath of the American public, but they're still bent on courting one, increasingly narrow group: white, straight Christian men who are frightened by change. That worked when the minority population in the US was smaller than it is today, and when it was "safe" to be a bit homophobic, racist and sexist, but it's a much tougher case in the 21st century.

and don't forget the anti-science movement, that's also alienated some folks too. I mean there was more than enough without that, but damn, to blatantly deny science... fucking morons.

Yeah, really rigged when the GOP controls both the Senate and Congress while also have 30 of the 50 State Governors. Yes, rigged for the GOP.

Updated my prior post but it was funny to see outside the Javits Center a FOX satellite truck right next to a CNN one.

It's interesting that you're insinuating that the election was somehow fixed in defiance of the will of the voters when by almost all indications she's the person who is going to get the most votes.

You can 'rig' an election without actually having to change or miscount the votes. I doubt there is mass-scale vote rigging or fraud going on, but when you control the media (both traditional and social media), you can control the narrative and rig the election that way. Doesn't mean she didn't get the votes or that somehow it shouldn't count or anything like that, it just means the result was pre-determined anyway.

Oh so your continuing myth of media bias where you declare it to be true and all evidence to the contrary is just part of the conspiracy.

Very convincing.

Definitely thinking about that -- unfortunately, people who vote with science as a major factor aren't as influential right now. The Republicans' tendency to deny climate science and evolution certainly doesn't help their case, though.

Maybe if more scientists trusted the science less and relied more on the good Book they wouldn't come off as so liberally biased.
